The price has gone up dramatically over the past couple of years. I've paid the full amount every year, but this year it went up even more, and it's getting out of hand. New customers get 75-80% off, while long term customers get nothing.
I contact customer support and they offered me the "best deal" they could, which was insignificant, and still nowhere near what a new customer gets it for. I've been with Hostgator for over a decade, but plan on leaving as soon as possible.
Its been over 2 months since I renewed my domain subscription. I have been trying to resolve the same complaints since. Its become rather frustrating and embarrassing that such a minor issue even after escalation has remained unsolved.
My business is grossly impacted and im practically on the verge of asking for contract termination with host gator.

Is not knowledgeable of sympathetic of issues at hand and the seriousness of this issue. Our Business is completely shut down without our data. Had to call sales dept to get tech support in the USA spent 4 hours yesterday trying to get this issue resolved and the calls were either drop or i was hung up on after 30-40 minutes on hold waiting 3 times. Please call me *******059 to see how we can at least do a temporary fix so we can pull our data out. We are losing our google #1 rankings that took years to obtain.
I've been using HostGator to host 2 of my websites for over 3 years. It's been a great experience. I'm not super techy, so I have to often contact their customer support. And they come through each time. The response time is fast and the service is efficient. They send payment reminders on time too, but everyone does that. The hosting and domains are reliable as well. Haven't had any problems so far. Hope to continue with them for a long time if they can maintain their services.
These guys became market leaders on good support and customer care. A while back they were acquired in a buyout and since then their attitude has dropped off a cliff. They do not support ticket system any more and if you wish to wait on the phone for 1+ hour waiting on their phone support I wish you luck. I had been a happy client for 10 + years but earlier this year they put their prices up, did not advise me and then just charged my paypal account the 30% increase without my consent. When I questioned them they said oh we notified everyone via their online blog. Avoid them like the plague!
You were a good choice 10 years ago but now my website can't be seen and you haven't solved the problem during the two months I have been in contact with your support. You haven't even replied to my last email. But you keep on sending emails where you want me to evaluate your services.
It's been more than a month and they have not been able to resolve this problem, we have many problems with our clients because of this. Please help us.

Setting ns servers from our account is not working.
I am happy with Hostgator and the service and reminders. The support chat line is the best help and i use it when stuck or the site is down or I have made an error. I don't know what i would do without that.
I paid for the migrations but. After the migration contact didn't work. So I have to create website just wasted money paid $499
But, I created new website it's working good now
I always find the support team very helpful. They always offer timely solution and resolve promptly which I like most. Support does counsel in value added features to run my business. As an industry expert, it hells us a lot who are just new in content writing. It would be good if they could build product like AI tools on business and automation.

I found HostGator through a blog by simply hatch, I had seen ads for you on other blogs to and everyone seemed super happy. I can now say that the customer service I received today, after a few issues which were entirely my own doing, was excellent, really helpful and quick to get back to me. Many years ago I joined Hostgator. It was easy to use and good value. It is no longer good value as they suddenly doubled my monthly fee without warning or explanation. I remain, reluctantly, whilst looking for an alternative.
I have different domains and websites from various providers, but Hostgator is my go-to one. Their customer service is unmatched by any other service provider.

I chose you for your service, and it has been mostly good. But I have several times experienced losing access to a paid for and operation SSL, so that visitors to the site start to get privacy error messages. And it is pissing me off.
I've been hosted by HostGator for several years now and they're hosting service is just like any other web hosting service out there, it's alright. I recently moved my domains from mydomain.com to HostGator and what a terrible idea, the domain management for HostGator sucks $#*!, it's literally coming from an automated process to one that you have to deal with support so they can manually fix the domain right. Such a hassle.

Price. I am not happy with the constant ads upon logging in. As a user - I want to be send DIRECTLY to the file manager so I can actually work on my website, not thorugh 4 or 5 different folders to access it. Please make this a better experience.

The free Website Builder enabled me to create a site that is much better than one I might have built by writing code myself in HTML, etc. - 10 times better. That saved me so many hours of work, and it was fun to use. And the low price for a 3-year subscription was very helpful as well.

Customer service is very, very poor. Extremely long wait times and with how difficult your tools are to use, the poor customer service makes this a real waste of money. Your service is for folks with expert skills in web development. Not regular folks like my mom and me. If your customer service were better, it may have worked. I hope you guys can do better.
You have made a lot of GUI changes that are foreign and it's forcing a learning curve on me. Additionally, I'm having to contact tech support several times because of your system changes.

Answer: If you go straight to smartchat, it is very easy - you only need to find the smartchat button. I have worked with the Internet since web browsers were invented, so I know most of the answers already. That means that when I have a problem that I can't solve, it is going to be a real stinker for HostGator support to solve - I only bring them the difficult ones. Recently, I had an ISP who gave me terrible service, and the internet kept dropping out every few minutes. The Hostgator smartchat expert kept contact with me on and of for about an hour and three quarters until he had worked out the answer for me. That is what I call RELIABLE service.
