I was told my Turkey would be mailed in a 2-day shipment. It arrived on the 3rd day. And because of the thin styrofoam lining in the box, the small dry ice plastic pack had already completely evaporated. The turkey was soft, already defrosting. I called the Cajon Turkey Co. Customer service (Lori) to report this. I was told because the Turkey is precooked, that the melted state would not be harmful. But I had to put it in the freezer as Christmas was is still 13 days away at that point. I know for a fact that the turkey being in beginning thawing stage going back to freezer can effect the flavor. I mentioned this to C. S. (Lori) who said, "all I was told was that because the turkey is precooked, that it will be ok. - I find this unacceptable.
After I entered the wrong shipping address Shelby from their customer care team returned my email within hours and corrected the address to the proper one for me. No waiting on hold, no fuss, just amazing customer service! So thankful to them for that and love the fun gifts that can be delivered! So much better than a boring gift basket. They have a return customer for life.

Answer: They aren't necessarily a scam, but very poor customer service policies. If anything goes wrong with your order, like it did with mine, they just blocked me from their Facebook page so I couldn't leave a review. It's just luck if your order arrives and looks as you would expect and if it doesn't you are out of luck. Just contact local bakeries or restaurants and have them deliver for you, no reason to pay Goldbelly and have a third party who cares nothing about your order throw it around in the back of their truck and deliver it trashed. Goldbelly is unscrupulous and a big risk of wasted money.
