Unfortunately we paid with debit card so our $103 weekly budget wasn't delivered due to system crash yesterday and guess what,?
Instead of delivering our paid in full purchase the following day they cancelled the order and made us reorder yet problem is our $103 is now gone for the next 7 days until it is reimbursed. So now we run out in the morning and cant place order since Grassdoor hasn't figured out how to use software that delivers the following day.
I honestly love Grassdoor most of the time yet there's no excuse for this cluster@#%!
Money doesn't grow on everyone's trees and Grassdoor has essentially withheld our money and refused to deliver product the following day.
Please upgrade to a more modern ecommerce software so our $103 never gets withheld for up to 7 days again
I quit my job over a year ago due to management in which I wasn't happy with them. They threatened to fire me after I was pushed by a office co-worker. I decided to post my comments on Glassdoor.
But, Glassdoor claimed that "Your trust is our top concern, so companies can't alter or remove reviews.
However, several of former employees did posted their comments about the companies and without warning; their negative reviews were removed, only the positive comments were put.
Something is very wrong with the Glassdoor and my former company. I believe there is a secret handshake going on.
Shame on you, Glassdoor for preventing the real victims posting their claims and comments on glassdoor and you violated our first Amendments.
We have no way of making libels, just to express our words letting the public know what was going on with our corruption company that I used to work.
I must say I have had better results with other sites. Other sites gear more to the what our company is looking for. Other companies tend to send qualified applicants. I received only one resume and was told they provided a service and would not refund our monies. I would ask employers to be advised and try a different site!
Companies are able to manipulate the reviews so a horrible place to work looks wonderful. I even pointed out fake reviews to the site and they didn't remove them, even though I had proof they were written by the companies marketing dept. Waste of time to but any value in what is on this site.
This site is manipulated and inaccurate. Of course, disgruntled employees will start peppering the site with their disgruntled claims. Then they encourage the company to send out an email to get current feedback. The ratings are not updated in realtime, and good reviews sometimes do not even get posted if you haven't subscribed to their sales pitch.
It's a sham, and it's heavily and manually manipulated. Read the reviews understanding that ANYONE can post ANYTHING... including your competitors!
I went there to review my former job because it was a terrible company. It never got posted, I was wondering why. So the next day I was checking my email and I find out their moderators felt I was too specific about the situations about my former job and I gave too much criticism. A review is supposed to be specific. That point makes no sense. A review is also supposed to be honest and it should be exactly how you feel, like what I'm doing right now. I'm not holding any punches and beating around the bush. I'm telling you exactly what my opinion is about Glassdoor. I'm not doing some elementary school BS being totally nice. I didn't do any name-calling, mention anybody and use profanity. But yet I have to edit mine for being too specific and giving too much criticism. Who controls reviews based on those two reasons? Glassdoor is a bad website that has no clue on how reviews are supposed to work.
For those of you who wish to post anonymous negative reviews you're no better than glass door. Your a bunch of cowards. If you have anything negative to say own up to it put your name on the piece. Your negative reviews not only hurt the company that your posting about but the other employees that are part of that firm. Glassdoor permits misinformation, untrue information, and innuendo. 90% of you that want to post these negative reviews are probably fired for good reason and the fact that you're wanting to post a negative anonymous piece online substantiates the real person that you are. My name is Bill Hamm.
If you are a jobseeker and sign up for glassdoor, they will literally email you spam daily nonstop until you forcefully delete your whole account. The unsubscribe button at the bottom of their emails does absolutely nothing. You have to delete your entire account just to get the junk emails to stop. Also it would seem this site does some scummy practices like allow businesses to pay to delete their bad reviews, as pointed out by other commenters. Just avoid glassdoor altogether. Its a whole heaping pile of junk.
I complained about a review that referred to Indigenous peoples as bamboons. I pointed out that this violates their guidelines which says it will not allow posting that is: "racist or bigoted, is otherwise objectionable (as determined by Glassdoor)" Their reply was that they would not remove it, they saw nothing wrong with this reference. I am now undertaking to look at other remarks about indigenous people, women and marginalized groups. I am finding some pretty disgusting stuff.
Charlee Colwell is the manager of Glassdoor's Content and Community Team. Charlee has been rude and difficult to work with.
I spent a year at a low-level startup company that treated their employees poorly. When I switched jobs I went to add a review on Glassdoor. I left a very fair and polite review, but Glassdoor took it down and has refused to give me a straightforward reason why. I reached out via email to figure out the problem and was forwarded to Charlee, who could not care less. Charlee is now ignoring my emails and refusing to put my review back up. Once again, my review was extremely polite and in my opinion, too fair to the company.
Glassdoor can't be counted on or trusted with reviews if they are being biased on their selection of what is being posted.
Glass door is a great idea but it's poorly ran & paid off. First of all, if you have a bad experience you tell 7 people but if you have s good experience you rarely tell anyone. Keep that mind on any of these types of review sites. That's common sense. Also, use common sense when reading the reviews. It's easy to tell a real review from a disgruntled employee.
As for my 1 star review it's because Glassdoor excepts some sort of payment or trade for filtering out reviews. They allow some things in some company reviews but not the same in others. They review some company's reviews with a fine tooth comb while allowing complete gibberish to be written in others. There's only one reason to do this & that's because they're receiving some sort of payment. I've seen a lot of reviews disappear as well as have read complaints about them disappearing. Of course they deny any sort of doctoring or being paid but common sense proves otherwise.
Glassdoor is NOT a legitimate source for researching a company to work for. We experienced first hand an ex employee who was fired for stealing, create 15+ false and malicious reviews about our company on our Glassdoor page. A page that we did not even create. They refuse to take down these reviews because they do not violate their "terms". When you do not verify employment, it is impossible to have an accurate employee review page due to the reasons we have experienced. Someone can get fired, quit, not get hired, etc and go leave an untrue review because they have no morality themselves. Glassdoor is the biggest scam of a company and review site there is
I have worked some good jobs, some okay ones and some bad ones. But according to glassdoor most of these places are amazing and anyone who says otherwise is a lazy simpleton.
Why? Well sadly it is entirely within the realm of possibility for a companies with disregards for ethics to make accounts on glassdoor and post tons of fake positive reviews. This is most prevalent with smaller companies, especially marketing ones. Yes, I realize that that unfortunately means that this review too could be fake since both sitejabber and glassdoor require no validation, but that is up to you. As well, with the larger companies many people go on glassdoor to brag about how much they work and how much responsibility they have like anybody cares. This too skews the reviews to be overly positive.
Anyway, point being, as a site which is meant to give the viewer an idea of what working for a specific company is like, there's a lot of misinformation involved.
We let go a low performing, high paid sales guy who did not generate a single dollar after staying for almost an year. He was reluctant to leave stating that it was a wrong decision to let him go. He threatened legal action blah blah. After an eventful, high drama exit(ofcourse he was paid severance), the very next day he posts a very negative comment about the company, how people are leaving this company, how people get fired at short notice, and he also stated that his Title was Software Developer. Infact this is all not true as we were awarded Top Workplaces in the region based on employee feedback. We flagged this post but glassdoor replies that they have re-reviewed it and it meets their Guidelines. Now what guidelines did they follow to fact check if this was true, if the person who is throwing allegations is the person that he claims to be. This is just a place for disgruntled fired losers. Glassdoor does not have ANY credibility.
Let's work together on shutting this worthless site down. They thrive on defaming businesses. Absolutely unethical and irresponsible. Funny that they are not responding to their negative posts here, I guess, they don't follow what they try to preach to employers, or they just know better. They "encourage" their employees to write positive reviews of the company... whatever that means :)
Don't believe a thing you see on Glassdoor. Both from the employee and employer. Literally, anyone can leave a review on the site even if they never worked there. Bad reviews can come from competitors, good reviews can come from anyone else. Read their policies, companies can lie through their teeth as well as reviewers. It's pure junk.
Glassdoor is a SCAM!. If you pay, you are certain to receive at least 4 star. We are a small business and we were approached by glassdoor to sell us " a better way to profile the company". A marketing word for extortion!.
Bigger companies (Facebook, Amazon, etc.) are all at 4 stars and more. The reason, glassdoor is either scared of them or hoping to do business with them. We all know the story published in the New York Times about how horrible is Amazon. Except at glassdoor. 5 stars!
I had a bad experience at a company and wrote an honest but overall negative review. It was deleted a week later. And now there are only positive reviews posted about the company. All the negative reviews from other employees seem to have been deleted too. This is not honest, ethical or fair. This was meant to be a voice for both the company and the employees. It cannot be one sided.
I have had an insubordinate employee that was discruntaled while in our employment curse at the owners of the company.
The department of labor saw fit to deny benefits due to his actions. Even after several appeals.
And Glassdoor allows him to harm our company through false reviews.
Glassdoor is the most biased company review app there is. Several companies I follow have negative reviews taken down as quickly as they're posted, while the obviously fake positive reviews remain. #fraud
Answer: When a company gets negative reviews, glassdoor contacts them and uses the negative review as leverage to get the company to sign up for a subscription with glassdoor. They pretty much tell the company that if they take out a subscription the bad reviews will be removed
Glassdoor has a rating of 1.5 stars from 273 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Glassdoor most frequently mention community guidelines, class action and disgruntled employee. Glassdoor ranks 326th among Job Search sites.
