Thank you, Russell, for such a pleasant and productive experience!
I recently encountered an issue with my Freelancer account, and I was fortunate to have Janessa G assist me. From the very beginning, she was incredibly professional, patient, and proactive in resolving my concerns. She took the time to understand my situation thoroughly and provided clear, step-by-step guidance, ensuring everything was handled smoothly. Her dedication and willingness to go the extra mile truly stood out. Thanks to her prompt and efficient support, my issue was resolved quickly, and I was able to continue working without any further complications. Janessa G is an absolute asset to the Freelancer support team, and I genuinely appreciate her outstanding assistance. Thank you, Janessa, for your exceptional service!
Greatly thanks Hope D 's assistance today as I no longer require my contest. Patiently and professionally explain the options for me so I can resolve my issue.
It was my first time to hire some via this platform for my project and end it up with a scammer designer I mistakenly released the payment and he stopped responding to my messages and didn't complete my project too then I reached out to customer support and thanks to Olivia solved the issue.
To be honest i was a bit frustrated but the customer support member who was taking care of my case was very helpful, informed and detailed
Thank you so much
I have a debit card which is verified successfully but not authenticated. So, I tried to raise a ticket on support team, and they assure me the problem reviewed, and it takes time 24- 48 hours. Good response till now.
I had a verified account on Freelancer. Com with a paid premium membership and available balance. Out of nowhere, my account was suddenly closed without any prior notice, warning, or clear explanation. I received only a vague message claiming I violated their terms, but they never gave me any details or proof. I contacted their support multiple times and submitted a ticket (ID: *******), but I was completely ignored. I lost access to both my membership benefits and my remaining funds. This is completely unfair, especially for a platform that deals with people's money and livelihoods. I have reported this issue to the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3. Gov) and will continue to raise awareness so others don't face the same issue. Freelancer. Com needs to:
- Provide users with transparent reasons when taking such actions
- Offer a proper appeal process
- Respond to support requests
- Refund money when services are not delivered
Excellent Support Experience!
Thank you Margaux S.
I had a great experience with the support team. The agent was professional, responsive, and provided clear guidance throughout our conversation. They addressed all my concerns efficiently and ensured I had the information I needed before closing the chat.
I appreciate their patience and willingness to help. Highly recommend their support service!
I was promised a verified badge that I never received.
Russell who's last name is secret, which should've been the first indicator of him being a scammer, is heavily hurting the reputation of freelancer com and committing a crime by not refunding something he did not deliver.
As a verified and preferred freelancer on Freelancer.com, I recently faced some issues with the verification process. After sending messages, I often received delayed responses—sometimes after a day or two. When I finally scheduled a verification meeting, I was informed that I had not been selected for that time. Despite asking if there were any issues, I received no response until the scheduled meeting time, leaving me uncertain whether to attend or not. Unfortunately, the meeting itself was unfriendly and felt unprofessional, which seemed inconsistent with the standards of Freelancer.com. Moreover, my verified badge was removed, and I was restricted from bidding on certain projects, despite agreeing to renew the badge when prompted. The renewal fee was charged, and I understood there was a 14-day grace period before the badge would be removed. However, the badge was still removed, and the renewal process took an unusually long time. Please note that my intention in sharing this experience is not to criticize the platform but to provide constructive feedback to help improve the verification and renewal processes. I hope these observations are taken into account for better service and smoother experiences for freelancers.
When I tried to authenticate my payment method my currency wasn't listed in the website and used one, from the list given. So, I did enter the value that was charged by converting my currency to USD, and that value was wrong. Then I asked for support, and from the general support service of Freelancer, Xavier B informed me about its procedure of how the currency should be mentioned. It helped a lot and I was relieved by those words. Thanks a lot!
I was able to properly fix a problem on my end. Nicola R. Was really helpful and made me understand about the terms of the websites. Commendable.
I am new to this platform. I faced a small problem here, but the freelancer staff was able to assist me to resolve my problem. Thanks for making it so easy for me to use and I'd like to use this platform for a long time. Thanks
Nicola R. (Freelancer Support) was very helpful and said she will report the bug I noted on Freelancer website
I had an issue with my subscription, and I contacted Freelancer's customer support team. I was assisted by a representative named Angie, who handled my situation with great patience and professionalism. Angie took the time to explain everything clearly, and helped me cancel my subscription.
I really appreciate the effort and support provided by Angie. The issue was resolved smoothly, and I am grateful for the excellent service. The team was attentive and made sure all my questions were answered.
I highly recommend Freelancer's customer support, especially if you face any issues or need assistance. I will definitely be more careful with my account in the future, thanks to the helpful guidance.
Thank you so much for the support granted unto me NICOLA you have helped me and hope to get the positive feedback as you have promised. Your the best the company can have as a customer service provider.
I have a nice experience with the person who has directly chat with me.This service of chatting instantly about anything help all the freelancer which has a positive effect on them.I wish this service will help this site to reach the biggest Market Place in the world.
It was very informative and really helped me a lot, thank you so much Heidi. I'm truly looking forward to seeing the final result and I appreciate your support throughout this process."
Olivia did a great job helping me out. I had a freelancer who changed their bid on me during initial discussion but I had already set up the Milestone account and awarded the work. (I should have been more patient) - Olivia took care of fixing everything for me. I appreciate the hands on, personal touch, support.
I was worried because it's been a 5 days since I processed my withdrawal, Glad I contacted Miss Criselda from Freelancer support. She was very helpful, and check Immediately my account and finds out that my withdrawal request was already being processed by Express withdrawal from 02/17/2025 at 21:17 EST. And I may receive it on my bank within 2 to 3 business days, Thank you!
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
