I paid for a script on Acredo, and Express Scripts charged me too. I called Express Scripts and asked why, and was put on hold 40 minutes before being hung up on. I ended up reporting fraud. Watch you credit cards if you deal with Express.
Why would Express Scripts ever consider associating themselves with Accredo.?
Accredo customer reviews are the lowest ever rating.
Accredo is their chosen 'Speciality Pharmacy'... but in reality Accredo is in the specialty of infuriating customers.
How would you like it if you called Accredo and they accepted the third refill of a 12 month prescription. You then receive an email stating your order has been accepted and will be shipped. Two days later you get a voice mail on Saturday (while you're on vacation hiking in Washington Olympics) stating your order cannot be shipped and to call Accredo customer service ASAP. Now you have to hike off the mountain to find good cell connection.
Customer Service tells you that they need you to contact your doctor for a NEW PRESCRIPTION before they can fulfill the third month shipment of a 12 month prescription?!
All this occurs on a Saturday when your doctor is not in his office.!
Finally, it takes 3 hours of phone calls before you are assured the shipment will be sent.
Express Scripts has made a huge customer service mistake partnering with Accredo.
First time ordering. Told via telephone my orders would be $12 each for 3 months. Today received the 2 orders. One was for $12 but only sent 2 bottles, not 3 for the 3 months. The other one had an invoice for $68 instead of $12 which I emailed the company and noted on package to Return to Sender. The $68 one I previously paid $17 for elsewhere but who no longer has a contract with Tricarefor Life. This is my first experience with this Express Scripts.
They don't cover anything. I literally use a prescription card I got in the mail instead. One medication was 120 with Express garbage and the free prescription card I got in the mail cut the price down to 30. So in short, your better off without Express script.
ExpressScripts sent me a letter to Prior authorize a medication. 10 phone calls and multiple transfers + being cut off twice, I did get the job accomplished. I would still like to talk to someone that is compentent! Needless to say, they do not offer a complaint department or anyway to accept suggestions OR anyway to discuss issues with a human being!
Express Scripts mail order has no star rating for me. I received 90 day supply on 2 of my medications w/o asking them to fill the prescriptions, andwhen i ordered my refills i was told i needed a prescription because one of my medications was not on file, but i was able to place an order online and see my prescription had 3 refills. This does not make sense. I called and spoke with a customer service representative, who was useless. I was informed by her i was being penalized for using retail and not using mail order. She could not even transfer the call. I called again the next day and was told i needed a prescription since there was no order. I had to select 1 star in order to save.
As a new customer, I tried using ES for a mail order. Cardiologist entered prescription 1/19/22. Email received that day from ES saying "working on your order". "You'll receive a separate email once your medication ships. NOT MENTIONED is that you have to call ES and give a verbal approval BEFORE they fill the order and ship it. POOR! POOR! POOR! 10 days later aI called ES to ask where my prescription was and found out about this "protocol". The dummies don't mention this in their confirmation email.
I have been on a certain medication for 10 year from them. Now, they will not approve the medication from a DOCTOR because he no longer has the baseline level of pre medicine levels! After 7 years the Docotor purges the system of old data... so, now, I have been without an important medication and I'm having a lot of medical issues because of this. My doctor has been fighting this and appealing the decision for 5 months! Express Scripts and the government SUX!
I have been dealing with them for months. They refuse to update my infants sons name from newborn. Since they won't update his name they refuse to pay for any medications. Multiple attempts from my employer UHC and myself and still no update. They don't even have who I work for correct. I have never worked for the company they say is employing me and the won't fix their error when paperwork is provided! STAY AWAY from using them!
If there is a credit on an account the company policy is to leave the credit there, regardless of amount or reason or length of time. There is no 30 or 60 day review. They want to hold your money whether earned or not.
Future payments are deducted from the credit balance until they receive a refund request.
After a refund request Express Scripts will review the account, not before. If they want then they will issue a refund.
Meanwhile... if there is a balance due, no death is good enough for you.
My heart medication is auto refill. The day came for the refill and nothing. I called and asked why it wasn't filled and they said because I owed them money. I tried to explain that I did not owe any money, but they wouldn't listen. I got home checked my account and No, I did not owe them money. I went to order another script and it said it was free, but a day or two later they charged me. Ok, whatever. My next order they did credit the $12. Today, I received a message stating I had to contact the doctor to get a script fill, however according to their website I have 3 refills. I called and inquired about the discrepancy and they said it didn't matter and that I had to contact the doctors office. So, then why do I have 3 refills. I will no longer be using their services. I can't keep up with the inefficiency. I don't think my heart could take it.
I was contacted by ExpressScripts b/c they said one of my medications (a generic) was on backorder. They told me "the manufacturer quit making it" - but there is more than one generic manufacturer, so why can't they order from a different vendor? What dumbfounded me is that they told me that the refill had been "cancelled" in their system and that I would need to call back periodically to see if it was back in stock in order to get it refilled. Really? I asked them, can't you hold the order open until the medication is back in stock (since I get a 3 month supply at a time, and had enough to hold me over for 3 weeks), and was told "NO." Over a month later, they are still out of stock, yet the FDA website does not list this product on their Drug Shortages list.
Shanta seems to be the automated reply to any Express Scripts complaints. Evidently, this company is fraught with problems and complaints. Seems there is no oversight to a business that deals in controlled substances and prescription medications which is very surprising.
I wish I had another option for my prescription plan. I take a class 2 medication prescribed by my doctor for the past 5 years. Every year prior to this year, the medicine is renewed without a problem. This year, the appeal process is awful, almost as if they don't want to provide the coverage I pay for.
The first part of the renewal was denied because of a trick question. The second part of the renewal was denied because the medical records submitted with the first request was not forwarded.
I am now in the External Audit review. I have been without my medicine for over 30 days.
Express Scripts DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.
SPECIFICALLY informed company I would call as I need medication and can afford it. They continue to charge my card and send medications without my knowledge or consent. The Dr is not the client and does not pay my bills! Parting ways after many years of ME giving this company my money and my business. Im happy to know that they are in the business of losing paying customers.
I switched jobs and ended up with this one.
Prescriptions take too long to be received, and when I have needed to call Customer service about a problem I have to call MULTIPLE times to get it right. Waste of my time.
I wish my company would dump these guys.
THE absolute worst company on ANY planet! What a COMPLET circus good luck with These incompetent incoherent idiots brain dead morons. This is a find example of total in confidence at its highest level a new record. OF brain deadness at its highest level. Wow you must have to be brain-dead to work there.
They are awful to deal with the pharmacy and cs don't communicate. The pharmacy doesn't want to answer my questions and I can't understand anyone in either department I have literally had to go cold turkey on a benzo cause they refused to fill the prescription in time
I have spent 500 hours trying to just get my medications on time and have been unsuccessful. It takes so much effort just to get the prior auths and then they told me to send in the prescriptions 20 days early and I did without the hold date, much to the chagrin of my Dr., and it sits there every month in a "filling prescription" status. You literally have to call in 15 times to get a prescription moving every month and will be amazed at the contradictory responses you get. I am at my wits end here and have been in severe pain and withdrawals many times without my medication. How is this allowed?
I am so sick ofbtryingbto deal with this company. Overcharge evertime. Even had to send me a $500 check for overcharges. I have a tier exception on one medication. My doctor fills put pages of paperwork and submits every year after my physical. Express Scripts never gets it right. I spend hours on the phone and finally get it resolved. I am just going to go without this critical medication rather than listen to their excuses for over billing.
Answer: Fairly easy. They are just rude and incompetent. Delaying filling prescriptions.
Answer: It's a legit company with the worlds worst service
Answer: No. And since hell would have to freeze over before I ever actually do purchase anything from Express Scripts I want to have a success story.
Answer: I pay a monthly charge which is part of my Medicare Supplement Insurance. The total premium is $439 a month but it also covers other charges Medicare does not. Then for each drug Express Scripts charges a maximum of $20 for 90 pills if generics are used. Non generics depend on the medicine; they can be much more expensive.
Answer: I had no choice, it is the only option through my employer.
