Booked a block of rooms for family coming in for a funeral. Thought we were booking for 139 per room, per night (151 with taxes and fees.) The end result was, we were charged 228 per room. Were told we could cancel the reservation, but we would be charged a 30% cancellation fee. This was Expedia's way to make it right. You can cancel, but we won't give you a full refund. "Prices can change while we are booking your rooms, what you see at the time could go high or lower. This is what the manager expressed when we spoke later about the matter; however, when we were booking the rooms the agent never mentioned the price rate change. We will NEVER do business with Expedia again and will make sure each family member who incurred this extra charge spread the word to their friends and colleagues.
There is no point in contacting Expedia team. Simply waste the mobile talktime balance... already wasted 10 GBP within that. Also there is no point in as you lied in mail:

We understand that sometimes plans change. We do not charge a cancel or change fee. When the airline charges such fees in accordance with its own policies, the cost will be passed on to you.
I personally called to Oman Air they told me that you wont charge anything.
If your travel agency wants make any changes they will do it by themselves without taking the charges. However they can't change travel agency's policy.
Anyways, its my biggest mistake I booked the flight ticket with you for the first time & last time in entire life. I'll convey the same message this

I was charged twice for the same room and got absolutely no cooperation from expedia to fix it. The hotel said they were powerless and had to deal with expedia.
Expedia wouldn't even put a person on the phone.
Instead I had to use chat and this was no help. They just blamed the hotel for not being able to help me. Then just cut me off.
I feel like I've been robbed and the customer service of expedia was non existent. I will never use them again
My wife, daughter, mother and i was shown a beautiful picture of a nice hotel and 2 nice rooms at $580 for two nights, when we arrived there, the office was dirty, the clerk showed us the rooms, the refrigerator had rust in them, the room was dusty, it was a mildew smell in it, I told them it was unacceptable, they told me it was non-refundable, Travelocity is owned by Expedia neither one would refund my money! I'll never use either again!

I would like to share my experience about an incredible Expedia customer service. Ive been waiting on my refund for four weeks. During this period of time, I was speaking at least with four representatives and all of them promised me that in seven days I'll get my money back. The last guy his name is Jake told me that all people who I talked with before were lying to me and did nothing, but he will fix it right now, but unfortunately, the miracle didnt happen. So guys please, think twice before booking something on Expedia, because you won't be to get your money back.
Dont book unless you are sure enough with your travel dates! They will make an excuse for refunding everything! Travel insurance was useless by the way! Will cost you a lot and will make you wait for 3-4 months or nothing! Customer service was not properly trained. Dont fall for their trap! I am warning you!
Do not trust Expedia
I had to cancel an American Airlines flight that was booked through Expedia. After a two hour wait I spoke with a representative called Tiena. I printed a copy of our booking through Expedia which clearly stated that " Tickets are refundable".
After communication between herself and her supervisor for an additional 45 minutes her supervisor Moh A. Told her that she could only give us a partial refund and a credit for part of our trip.
Not only that, our refund would take 8 to 12 weeks. The remainder of our credit would have to be used within 12 months. Nowhere in their communication did it state a partial refund with a credit balance remaining with the airline.
DO NOT use this website to book your tickets or flights.
They simply do not follow their own communication to clients.

We had a terrible experience with Expedia. When we arrived at the hotel, they didn't have a room for us. I checked and our credit card had been charged. I then called Expedia and talked with an off-shore call center. They were no help. Bottom line, we went to another hotel. When I contested the Expedia charge with my credit card company, Expedia refused to credit me the disputed amount. Never again. Run, don't walk from this site.
Hi ki use to check fares but never use them I find my travel agent gets me equal, or better prices. Also, if you trip, has multiple kegs or is real long like overseas best book those legs seperatly yourself you will save hundreds if not more

Purchased the most expensive Protection plan for my vacation, with the understanding we were protected. To find out only refunds are given within 15 days of the purchase, how does that make any sense if unforeseen situations happen in the future. COVID-19 was completely out of everybody's control but yet they are keeping the money? I am very disappointed in Expedia, sat on hold, was disconnected, no email communication, and online chat took an hour! In the end Expedia did the wrong thing and did not take care of their customer like they said they would, very disappointed.
Customer service is horrible! Before buying your flight and/or hotel check the airline and hotel out directly. You might pay a couple dollars extra but its worth the savings on headaches trying to deal with expedia for any issues you might have. They have the worst customer service! I recently purchased an airplane ticket on Expedia and after that they showed some hotel offers which I proceeded to reserve. No where did I find the hotels was prepaid
The trip, which was for a diving expedition to Mexico, was cancelled by the boat company due to an impending Hurricane so I called to cancel. Much to my surprise, the hotel had been prepaid an they refused a refund.
I will never again buy anything prepaid from Expedia and try to avoid using Expedia for any kind of travel in the future. When I reserved it was never clear the hotel was prepaid and I feel ripped off.
Beware... use any other service except Expedia, your prepayment and conditions of a reservation are not indicated when you reserve
Recently I purchased a ticket from Expedia for three destinations. I also bought flight insurance in case my plans changed. When I had to fly back from my first destination I called Expedia to change my flight. They charged me about 100% more for a simple return ticket, promising that I could get the money back from insurance. But their trick was to never send me a receipt for the extra they charged. I've been trying to get AIG to pay me back and they keep asking for the receipt that Expedia is refusing to provide, fraud? I would think so. I have spent hours on the phone with Expedia and spent hours loading up documents on AIG site to no avail. So my advice is to stay away from Expedia. Some other travel websites like Kayak.com, find you the best price but pass you along to the airline to buy your ticket. I'd say that's much easier. I had to help a battered woman get out of her home with Police assistance and went through Exedia to book a hotel. They suggested this motel. The owner would not let me book directly and sent me to Expedia to complete the booking. I spent two days to locate a safe place for her to go and neither the hotel nor Expedia is interested in crediting back the additional two nights yet the hotel knew what was going on. This speaks volumes about their moral compass. Expedia is set up in a way where you cannot reach customer service. The wall of any variables, clearly on purpose. I hope you all take this into account before using either company.
I booked a room at a hotel through Expedia. I got a confirmation email and all was good. The room was cancelled an hour later because the hotel already had a booking earlier that day through their own website. No one ever contacted me. When I logged on and found out (the night before my trip) I called the hotel and they said it was Expedia's responsibility to let me know. I never got an email or phone call.
I booked my hotel for today which is (06/05/2021) when I received the confirmation, it says the booking was for 06/12/2021) what the hell! I tried to call them, wait time was 3 hours! Finally I reach someone online chat after 1 hour struggling. She was like ohh we cannot do anything.It is non refundable, non changeble. This website is big time fraud. They will change your dates so that they can re sell it to other people. Total rip off..
I have just changed seats on UA international flights, assisted by a superb Expedia customer service agent name Efrel, in Manilla, Philippines. I am an internet-challenged senior. Efrel was patient while navigating me through the UA site, until the purchases were complete. I am grateful for her support, and that of her supervisor, Mr. Max.
Expedia Cancelled my reservation. Glitch in their system. Couldn't understand what they person was saying and terrible connection. I will not be using them again. Spent 40 minutes on the phone - no resolution! Terrible Terrible Terrible.
I'm a long-term user of expedia so I have a fair amount of experience. When you run into trouble and need help you will find it's not worth it... just can't get it done. Long wait times on hold, then transferred into nothingness.
I'm just trying to warn you off... you'll get stuck. Use some other service.

Answer: You were lucky to get through to anyone at all at Expedia. I've spent hours and hours and hours over three days trying to get through to anyone on their customer service phone line, their chat line and their e-mail, all to no avail. They really owe their customers much better customer service.
Answer: Demand to speak to a Supervisor though you better have time because it will take anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours. Once the Supervisor does nothing or little to nothing to resolve your concern, ask to speak to a manager. Get ready to really wait. DO NOT ACCEPT THE "WE'LL HAVE A MANAGER CALL YOU WITHIN 24 to 48 HOURS" When you figure out you don't matter, sit down and right a review!
