I went in really clear: I have really big calves and wanted wider boots. I paid $500 for my custom boots with heat mold. I have never adjusted to these. I am miserable every single time in my boots, this is my second season with them. I have been to the mountain about 20 times with them. It just so happens, I met a friend who wears the same size as me. She was fitted in wides but has a narrow foot and HATES the same Atomic boots that I have... so we are fortunately going to trade. Now I have to pay for new bindings and get those attached. I like the store, they definitely know what they're talking about, but don't sell us on just what you have in stock, definitely seems like that happened knowing she has a very narrow foot and opposite for me.
Ordered an expensive shirt and was sent over the male version instead female. There was no declaration on the product site. Customer service said I should have guessed because model was male. I didn't even know there are male and female version of the product as there was no declaration. Customer service refused to help - said it it my problem. Never again!
Got my shoes and they are missing shoe laces. Contacted the customer service and talked to
Brad Simpson <*******@evo.com>. He is the best of all. I shop online all the time and this is the very first time that I get such an amazing customer service. Evo, You are so lucky to have an employee like brad.
It's just unfair how they steal your money and it's complicated and just not worth it. It's hard to cancel the membership and I have paid for it without me knowing and after I thought I canceled the membership it just kept charging me for more money.
Evo cancelled our account with no notice and they had almost no notes in their system on what the issue was and no explanation about why we were not notified in advance. When I finally got a hold of them they were not helpful at all and just did not care about what happened. They just kept saying they cant help me because my account is cancelled due to some ACH issue between banks. Our first notice this was happening, after over a decade of service, was our customers not being able to book online and it continued to not work for 36 hours while I got set up with another company.
I would avoid Evo. This was just the most bizarre experience ever. It works fine until you actually need some help with something and then they basically just tell you sorry about your luck.
I love this company, and have shopped at the flagship store a few times. SO BUMMED that I have chosen the free shipping option for my last few purchases. It's disappointing to not receive your item within 10 days- and to have to fight to find your package. Talking to customer service reminded me that they turn their UPS over to USPS at the last minute and that packages WILL GET LOST with this economy shipping option. I wish they would get it together and offer reliable shipping at no cost to the customer. SO BUMMED! (I can't add a proof of purchase photo because it's been lost in the mail!)
Ordered from their online store during a big sale. Ended up returning several items from a big order. All returned in the same package together and labeled accordingly with extra labels placed on the bags they came in etc. I went above and beyond to make the return process as seamless as possible. When the received my package they said several items were missing. Then they said one item was missing. They refunded me for everything but this one missing item. It's super shady that at first they claimed that several items were missing, then apparently found them, but not all of them, and then didn't refund me or follow up with me when I emailed them trying to figure out what was going on.
Not as knowledgeable as they would like you to think. Be careful with Evo. I'm sure some of the sales team knows what they are talking about, but we went in for a touring setup and ended up with bindings that don't work at all for touring. No response from the store management when we complained. Our fault for trusting their sales rep instead of doing our research - we unfortunately trusted their reputation. We've since found a few local stores that are more interested in helping people get outdoors than turning a quick profit.
Spent $450 on Nordica Astral 84 skis for my daughter for Christmas, they are total garbage. After first use the top of the skis began to chip. I reached out to Evo.com who recommended I have them "de-tuned". Nothing on their website or in the manual said they might need to be de-tuned but OK, I had them de-tuned. Well after 2 more uses they are completely falling apart. Evo and Nordica are doing nothing to help, claiming it's user error. I've purchased many new skis in my life, never had them fall apart like this. Total junk. My growing daughter goes through skis every few years, how can I resell these in a year or two? Nobody will buy them. Stuck with $450 in scrap.
The item arrived as expected, but when I rode the board, it was not right. The bindings also have issues. When I approached them and sent photos they said they won't return anything that's been used at all! Their policy is ridiculous in my opinion, but what can you do? I know I personally will never order from them again. REI has a great return policy, wish I would have known prior to wasting my money on this site.
I think evo.com is probably the best online place to buy skis along with Backcountry.com. The people that answer the phones know what they are talking about and are interested in making sure you buy the right product. The folks in their physical store in Seattle are super friendly and helpful. All the people that I've been in contact at Evo have a "no-worries" attitude. I like that especially for buying stuff that should be all fun.
For price-shoppers, the Evo Outlet which is also at www.evo.com has some fantastic pre and early season deals.
I was a little worried about ordering after reading the reviews, but thought I would take a gamble.
I ordered a jacket for my daughter online, about a half hour later I received an email saying my order had been shipped and would arrive by 12/22/17. Two day shipping free!
The jacket arrived as promised, we saved $80 on the deal.
I am very pleased with this company and will be ordering from them again!
Their prices seem higher than most other online vendors. When I tried their price match, I had to fill out a lengthy form and they denied the price match anyway. Don't waste your time, just buy from elsewhere.
I was thrilled with the product and shipping... and deeply unhappy when they only sent an "apology for any inconvenience" because they let their online security lapse, and they had a data breach due to a code injection by hackers or one of their employees turned on them! Almost cost me $1,400.00, but my bank caught it and flagged it. Cost me a lot of personal time, cancelling my card, waiting for a new one, and cancelling ALL of my auto-payment sites while I wait for a new card, and then have to reset all of that up. They didn't even offer any coupons or discounts toward future purchases! Super lame.
Terrible organization, terrible store, I regretted contacting them, competence level 0. I paid for my order on 11-22-22 they sent me a letter that my order would be sent within 2-4 days, today 12-08-22 and my order is even not sent yet, they answer my inquiries in 3 days and just say a they are very busy, the attitude towards customers is terrible, I was hoping for them, and I have already missed several trips to the mountains, but the newsletter is sent every day. And no one can answer where my order is... I do not advise buying here...
Their "average" response time is said to be roughly 24 hours, but in the three times I've had questions to be answered, it took roughly 72 hrs each time.
I was not even given an answer to my initial question, and the customer support avoided the question altogether, which regarded in price matching.
I would suggest to steer clear and f their website and all their online sales, and work with the sales reps at the actual store location.
Everything came in perfect from Evo! I was super pleased with how quick everything shipped. I got a Nidecker board and bindings, super sick setup that I cannot wait to ride! Unfortunately, one of my bindings was slightly defective and I had the easiest time working with customer service on getting a replacement sent back. Also the turnover has been so fast, I sent them out on a Friday and they are getting here on Wednesday! Thank you Evo!
Their price match policy is legit and straightforward. I found a coat I wanted on REI.com that was already on sale and even less expensive with a discount code. They matched the discount code price and gave me an additional 5% off with free shipping.
The customer service reps are quirky and courteous. Needless to say - I'll definitely be back.
My item has been through 5 states so far and isn't even halfway across the US yet. One full day it went 10 minutes north, 10 mins south, then 10 mins north to the same city again. Estimate ship date was wrong, now it says ship date pending. It takes forever! Will never order from them again.
Evo has great products and great prices! my big issue is I purchased an item online and it took over day and a half for my order to be processed. Companies such as Tactics.com are on it quick!! Way quicker!!!!
