I have spent 100's of dollars on Eddie Bauer lined ski pants (3 pairs), T shirts (5), flannel shirts, and one T shirt has a defect and they refuse ($29) to give me a refund. I can mail it ($), drive to UPS to mail ($ gas 4,25 gal) and maybe they will make a decision to replace it (or not). What a terrible company. Will never do business with them again and will tell all my friends what a s--- a-- company they are. It is less then a one star company JIm
Ordered a jacket that was not sew in right on the sleeve and had to buy another one and still waiting over a month 1/2 for my refund. And still waiting. So disappointed with this company. Every time I call customer service I get a different answer. And they keep saying another week. I will not buy another thing from this company
" Eddie Bauer".
Gave customer service every piece of information they could possibly need, multiple times to correct their error and they just kept sending me autodrafted emails claiming they needed more information to help. Never a problem in person, their online staff is incompetent, lazy, or probably both.
I bought 2 coats and 1 jacket from Eddie Bauer. They all three have down inside the lining. I love these coats! I hate being cold, and these coats keep me warm and dry at ballgames while everyone else is huddled in blankets, and still freezing. Too bad there isn't an Eddie Bauer coat for my legs, or some super insulated leggings to wear under my jeans. Lol
I ordered two bike shorts which were the wrong size using my Adventure Rewards. I called to find out how to exchange them for the correct size and was told that was not possible. I'd have to return the two pairs and reorder once the Adventure Rewards were reinstated to my account on the next rewards cycle. I returned the shorts. That was almost a year ago. Four calls to customer service (each gave me the same canned response that I would be refunded next cycle) and an email later (no response) I have never received my $65 back. I know that this review will do nothing except make me feel better by venting. And, seeing so many other negative reviews I know that I'm not alone. I have been a faithful Eddie Bauer customer for MANY years. I no longer will be.
I have been an Eddie Bauer customer for about 25 years. Since transitioning to online ordering it seems they have lost all sense of customer service and satisfaction. Shipping times are atrocious. I ordered a few items on 5/30/22 and have not received them and it's 6/17/22. When I placed the order I was told I would have my items within 5 - 7 business days, it has been 14 business days. Joke is on me?!
Another issue I have is it seems they have offshored their customer service dept. from Seattle, WA to the Philippines and most support personnel do not speak English fluently.
So, I'm sad to say this is likely my last order with Eddie Bauer.
Received wrong color jacket and it looked used and had no tag. Bad quality. Customer service actually wanted me to order another online BEFORE I even return it and get my money back. I don't care to pay double knowing they couldn't get it right the first time and wondering if they would return my funds. They also sound bored with your problem. And the price changed after I purchased it and was cheaper than they originally claimed. All bad experience. Never ordering online again from Eddie Bauer. All other online purchases have been great from other brands
Love the Silverdale, WA outlet store. Friendly greeting upon entering, knowledge of the merchandise and speed in checking out. Thank you Beverly and Lisa, the asst. Mngr. For another successful shopping experience. Sandy F.
How can a company go so downhill. I placed an order over a month ago and they said it shipped 2 weeks ago. It never shipped and they never credited my charge card. I've spent hours trying to track a non existent package. They moved all the customer service to asia and all they say is "sorry" as they are awful. Fed Ex the package never existed. I had 2 supervisors tell me they would replace the shipment. 4 days later a rep admitted there is no more of what I ordered. So they say ok "sorry" we will credit you back but it's 9 days later and I had to file a claim with my bank. They are just sooo bad!
I placed an order on a sale they were having. Charged the CC and never received the item. The charges went on and off the CC numerous times.
I called and due to the virus I had to have an online chat, waited over 25 mins sitting in front of the computer and when I finally got down to 3 in the que, it said, no one was available and it disconnected me.
Sent numerous emails and never received 1 response (sent to different areas of the company)
Believe me, i understand the virus thing, but for a company of this size, one would think they had there stuff together.
I keep seeing ads, no way would i even try to buy anything ever again from this company.
Good luck on your purchases.
I waited over an hour and a half on the phone to speak with someone before I hung up. The reason for my call? I got a call from FedEx saying they couldn't ship my items to the address given. Eddiebauer doesn't concern themselves with this. You can put it any address into their computer system and they'll accept it. Whether their shipper will ship to that address is another matter. If not, the items go back to Eddiebauer. You're still charged.
I ordered several items online, got an email telling they have shipped and when they will be delivered. So far so good... Then I get an email today telling me that they won't be coming in till the next day and by the way some of the stuff we said we would send you is now unavailable so too bad so sad. How can they tell me they have it, it's being shipped then tell me later ooopsy I guess we made that $#*! up earlier... Never ordering from them again.
I purchased a jacket from Eddie Bauer and I was so
Frustrated trying to return it I ended up just giving it away. I called and sat
On hold for an hour before hanging up, I sent numerous emails they do not
Respond to and I ended up writing a letter to the corporate office complaining
About the service. Some time later I received an envelope from corporate. No
Letter, no explanation, no apology, just a gift card for $30. I decided to use
The card and ordered a pack sack online in Feb. I called today because I still
Have not received it and the email I sent on March 4th is still unanswered ( no
Surprise there). Now they tell me they are having trouble with their gift
Cards and my order was cancelled. They want me to buy it, pay the entire amount then call them ( which means sit on hold) and ask them to credit my account for the $30. Not
Happening.
I like the products but I will never deal with this outfit
Again
I have reached out to their customer service team twice regarding what appears to be a lost package. The package seems to be going from state to state, farther away from me. Not to mention that the package delivery date has been pushed out multiple times. However, each representative just apologies or quotes their shipping time frame which it has already passed. This package will have taken a month to get to me if the delivery date is accurate. TERRIBLE customer service, company seems to have tanked.
Eddie Bauer has terrible customer service. I recently placed and order on 28 June for 2 down jackets for a trip scheduled on 10 July. After not receiving a confirmation for shipping by 1 July I contacted Eddie Bauer Customers Service who informed me my package was indeed ready to ship and would take 5-7 business days from the order date to arrive. I specifically asked if it would be here by 7 July to be sure it will arrive for my trip. The customer service rep said yes. I recently just checked the shipping status of my order and it is not predicted to arrive until 10 July! Missing my trip. I am so angry I don't even know where to begin. I understand the "delay due to Covid, which is why I specifically asked that the package would indeed arrive for my dates. A perfect example of the hand not knowing what the mouth is doing.
I placed an order last night and their system duplicated my order. I immediately tried calling and emailed them but they were closed. I called first thing the next morning. And I am told I will have to return it to them to get a refund. In the midst of Covid, to have an extra 250$ on my credit card is unacceptable for an error on your part. Secondly to expect me to carry the cost until its returned for your system error is not good business.
I will be contacting the better business Bureau.
I bought an item on eddiebauer.com and realized within hours that I had used an old address that was saved on the site. I called immediately and was told they couldn't do anything about it, but maybe FedEx could. FedEx was unable to change the delivery address or hold it at a FedEx location (no explanation why). Now my package is being sent to an address I no longer live at, and I guess it's just my bad luck, according to Eddie Bauer. Thanks.
I, like many people, shop online because I don't have time to go to a store. This website is a mess! I found the product I wanted and tried to order. The site kept kicking me back asking me to put in a phone number I'd already put in. I tried the chat help service. It said I would be connected in 11 seconds, took several minutes and then the person on the other end was dumber than rocks and super slow. She had me refresh the page which meant I had to re-enter all the information again. I have a better idea - FIX THE WEBSITE! I then called the 800 number to give them a shot, and they were a mess too. No wonder this retailer is going under, they're staffing is horrible and their website is a mess. I'll shop elsewhere. Thankfully they're not the only game in town.
Don't think that you will get money back if you return a product. I got a gift card instead because of the "system upgrade" they had at the time... and that somehow has made them unable to return my money... RIDICULOUS
I was dealing with this issue for 6 MONTHS! They don't reply to emails and people on live chat tell you that someone will contact you... and obviously that never happens.
I will NEVER buy anything again from this company
I ordered 4 items. They sent a confirmation for all four and locked up the funds in my bank account. When I received the shipment there were only three items - with no explanation of the shortfall - not an email, not a back order, notice, not a credit.
Now - three weeks later, I do not have the missing item. Nor do I have any explanation. They still have their lock on my funds.
I attempted to contact them to sort out the issue. First I called, their answering system whined about COVID-19, then told me to use their chat system, and hung up on me.
When I jumped onto their chat "service" they placed me at # 48 in the queue. I held on for 15 or 20 minutes until I reached # 1 - at which point they told me they had no capacity - please try again later.
Do not order from these people!
