DONT PURCHASE FROM DILLARDS ONLINE
I SHOP ONLINE CONSTANTLY AND HAVE NEVER COME ACROSS SUCH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SUCH A HORRIBLE RETURN POILCY.
I made my purchase thru Paypal on a credit card and they gave me a gift card as my refund! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM DILLARDS AGAIN.
I am 80 years old and disabled. My husband is 82 years old. I order clothing from Dillards because they have many styles that I like. When something doesn't fit or I don't like it I return it to the store in Naples, FL. Today my husband took several items that I had received and needed to return with all the receipts that I had received. My order came in 3 different deliveries. Two of them had receipts and 1 did not. Since I had copies of my original order I thought that would not be a problem. We drove to the store and my husband went in with all the papers I had and had received. After a while he returned to the car with 1 of the items I had asked him to return. He told me that they made him go upstairs to the women's department to return the items and when he got there the woman he helped him refused to accept the item which I had not received a receipt for even though he showed her my original order. When he returned with the garment I decide to call Dillards to find out how to return this item. The very nice woman who I reached on the phone assured me that she would immediately email me a receipt which I could then use for the return and she assured me that the salesperson at Dillards could have done the same thing. She also told me that the return could have been made at any department and that my husband didn't have to go up to the 2nd floor and only to that department. I find the personnel and the manager of the Naples, FL Dillards to be very thoughtless and not helpful at all.
From the head manager to the lowest people- they do not care to satisfy their customers. I bought a dress from them in clearance and it said not returnable and i understood that. However, when i got the dress it was fitting too tight because of the material it has. I called them right away and told them the situation if there could be an one time exception for that exchange in size since i am not asking for money back. I called and tried so hard, i cried on them that i cannot afford having 70$ sitting on mu closet and not being Able
To wear it. In the situation we are in with the covid, they closed their fitting rooms and now we have to buy online and just "HOPE" it would fit right! Other wise you are stuck with it!
The girl that answer the phone, ANGIE HUNG UP ON ME! How rude and unprofessional that is.
And second, as a manager you would want to satisfy your customers. Christina C. Didn't even try to help me. She was repeating the policy over and over again and not listening to my concern and try to give me an option or something to make me feel a little bit better about WAISTING my money here'
Dillards need to improve on customer service trainings! ( i don't know if they have any)

Don't shop at dillards, they lay off their hard working employees just before Christmas just so they can hire part time help them lay them off after Christmas. They suck and I will NOT shop there.
2 days after I make an online purchase, the item goes on permanent reduction. I called customer serv. & NO, they do not refund the difference.
I exchanged a black Metal Mulisha hoody I purchased for my boyfriend for Christmas because it was too small. It had tags attached and I had my receipt. It had sat on my counter for about two weeks since I live about 40 minutes from Idaho Falls. I have a large ragdoll cat, and his hair ends up on everything. When I pulled the hoody from the bag I noticed it had cat hair on it. Now, I am not talking large clumps, or an excessive amount, it just had some white hairs on it. I started to wipe it down and apologized with a laugh that my cats hair attaches instantly to anything black. The larger hoody I was exchanging for was on sale, so I asked the salesman if the additional money could be put back on my card or if it would need to be a store credit. He looked at me and said "We aren't the type of store that takes back worn clothing." Insert snotty tone when you read that. I said it hasn't been worn and the tags are attached. He said "but it has cat hair all over it." I asked him to get a manager (yes I was a Karen). She immediately said "Oh we can exchange this, it's obviously not been worn and it doesn't smell. It will just need lint rolled." I exchanged the hoody and got my gift card. I didn't realize until I got home that the salesman had not given me my printed receipt as I requested. Seems intentional to me but that is just my opinion. I didn't catch his name but it was a young 20's aged man who was working in the men's wear section with kind of a Justin Bieber wannabe look about him.
I ordered slippers and returned them and I used Afterpay. My Afterpay payments never stopped and then I received a Dillards gift card as my refund. They wouldn't put the money back on my debit card
I order almost frequently from Dillard and have never seemed to have any problems with my deliveries.

Dillard's has very nice clothing, very good brands, nice & clean. Prices are little higher but merchandise also better. Love to shop here

Answer: I don't know about their in-store customer service, but the phone representative I talked to was snippy. As far as their return policy, for online purchases, just be sure not to use PayPal because they won't refund it and don't tell you that when you order. You have to find out the hard way, when you get a "gift card" in the mail.
Answer: There may be a few negative complaints but Dillard's is actually one of the highest rated retailers on this entire site! It pretty much has one of the best overall scores. And that's saying a lot for any retailer these days. I was surprised myself. If you've had issues, try to take a multi-pronged approach such as myself, calling, emailing, live chat (if they have it) - until you get a resolution. Also, try to find a feedback section and state your case there as well. Good Luck.
