So I bought 5 pictures under an extended warranty for $359.00. Two minutes after my purchase it charged my debit card another $359.00 because of an auto renewal box. There is no working number for this company you have to chat online. I chatted with three people and Inna sent me an email saying once I bought my 5 pictures the credit card was automatically charged for another five under auto renewal. This is a complete scam. I hounded her with emails until she finally called me and agreed to credit me for the second 359.00. My credit card company is watching closely to see if they actually refund. This is not a reputable company I would look for my stock images somewhere else...
The download is good but just beware of the automatic renewal of the subscription. They renew it automatically unless you go in and stop it. They charge your card on a monthly basis without permission.
A writer needs models. Shopping the vast offerings on DepositPhotos helps me find the right look at the right cost to dress my covers. Customer service answered right away on a question, she was polite and knowledgeable. So happy my publisher sent me here.
My experience has been quite positive. I'd just like a tad more variety in the pictures (Shutterstock is a bit wider), and the search terms on your site seem to be something I haven't quite figured out, because I find it a bit more of a challenge to find the variety of image I'm looking for.
I am a past Thinkstock user and with that subscription ending, I was looking for an alternative and found Deposit Photos. I like the user interface, the selection, and the plans are much more affordable for my freelance business. Im so excited that the downloads will roll over to the next month since I cant predict how busy I might be. Its great.
When you buy a monthly pack, you automatically are given auto renew of the pack. Apparently Depositphoto's inform you of this but I didn't see it. When checking my account I never came across the auto-renew button: it's actually very well hidden inside of the account. So I didn't cancel the auto renew and money was taken from my credit card the month after. I called them and explained this to them but they didn't refund me, whereas usually you are granted some days "cool off" period anyway. STAY AWAY!
I've used several sites for stock photos but when I need something really specific, I always go to Deposit Photos. The monthly pricing is great and allows me to stock up on photos for my business for awhile without having to commit to a longer subscription. I recommend!
I'm an author and Deposit Photos is one of my "go to" sources for cover models, backgrounds, and video clips for my eBook covers and book trailers. They are reasonably priced and are easy to work with.
I have been able to meet my needs for photos for my online business. Before I was always worried that the pictures I was finding might not be licensed for general public use, even though I was looking for free images. Now I feel stress relief when looking for photos. Also, I get more pictures for the money than some other sites offered.
I am putting the finishing touches to the first of three books I am writing and because I am self publishing the cover was an afterthought... until the need posed an impediment to my schedule. My cover design includes an original painting in part with a number pieces as photos from DepositPhotos to be PhotoShopped into the finished product.
I have absolutely no time for expansive searches nor the patience for complex purchasing agreements; DepositPhotos became a one stop, search and shop solution.
As you are a photographer, and looking for a perfect platform to sell your photos and videos. So, I will highly recommend you Depositphotos. Once you registered on this site, after a while, you will surely make a lot of sales there! At present, I am going to share my experience with you. I just registered on this site. In conclusion, finally, I am making as much as possible sale with ease. This is my favourite photostock. Wonderful, friendly, valuable, and quick service. Thanks for the nudge.
I looked at more than a dozen different stock photo providers that carry the bulk of this author's work and Depositphoto's annual plan (monthly file cap download per month) provided the best price point. The User Interface and search/filter functions are well designed. The only drawback is they don't offer anything along the lines of. Psd templates such as product mockups etc.
I purchased a one-month only subscription but they went ahead and charged me for a second month without any warning! I am in the middle of contacting my credit card company, Trading Standards, and the BBB. The site itself does not answer queries either by email or phone and so I expect I'll have a fight to get a refund of the $99 they stole from me, but I will certainly make as much fuss and noise as possible about it, including involving law enforcement. Do not waste your time with this site. There are other less scammy ones out there with the same pictures on sale.
So, I have a few article writers that log in to my Wordpress site, write articles and insert photos. I like using purchased stock photos rather than hot-linked photos from wikipedia or Flicker, but I don't like giving my login info out for stock photo sites nor do I want to always be the middle man. In comes Microstock plugin - works great with iStock (and for new site images, that's my go-to site, but they're way too high priced for every day blog articles).
Turns out DepositPhotos api is broken and has been for a few months and they all but refuse to fix it. So I'm back to the manual photo shuffle again.
If you value your sanity, just go buy from another stock photo provider - one more reputable and reliable. I bought cheaply and I got what I paid for.
Once I figured out subscriptions meant “auto-renew” I got it. I buy 50/mo easy, so monthly sub beats credit prices. Suport guy said to time sub to renew just before big deadlines, so theres time to order out of next month if I run out, which was smart advice. Keywords are wonky, tho.
Your site was recommended by an editor when we were putting together a special report. I knew what type of images I wanted so when I went to your site and entered the keyword, I liked the choices that came up. The site was easy to navigate and the price was reasonable. I will be back. Thank you!
Find what i want in 3 clicks usally, not seeing the probs reported here. I like it for the new images every week. Yah, theres old stuff, which is okay, but I laff when I see I'm the first to use a new photo. Ha! Take that iStockholes.
I received plenty of emails from depositphotos. The offers, discounts, free trials, etc. Their claims of cheapest price and even 20% discount with 2million happy customers made me believe I would received a great deal from depositphotos.
I didn't know that depositphotos will take my money and suspend my account without any reason. I reported this immediately but was treated rudely by their customer sales team and after complaint with Better Business Bureau and 30 emails between depositphotos and me and they refused to give me a full refund.
I hope Better Business Bureau will take action and I will receive a full refund.
I would strongly advise people against this company, rude people are at the other end of your emails.
Unbelievable and I now realise that I have fallen for the age old scam. So I have spent about £213.00 for a subscription which I only used for only one day and now I don't have access to my account and money.
Please don't use this one and be heartbroken as I was.
Buy cheap Pay twice - Depositphotos is a SCAM
I purchased a ONE-month subscription service from Depositohotos. There was no indication that this subscription would be renewed monthly, no email, no notification, nothing. When I saw that my credit card had been charged another $69.00 in April, I immediately contacted the company on their online customer chat and spoke with someone named "Sheena." She basically told me that I had bought a renewable subscription. Finally, she agreed to contact their Financial Department to see what they could do for me. She said that she would get back to me the following day. It is now May 2014, and I never heard from her. There may indeed be something in the very tiny fine print that says that the charge will be renewed monthly, but I have screenshots of the order form I filled out and the receipt I received from them, and nowhere is it mentioned that the charge will renew.
Answer: I chose them because other websites are too expensive for the amount you get. This is not an issue if this is being done in a commercial setting as cost is part of doing business. I on the other hand am a digital artist who creates non commercially and do not profit off my creations. I create for the sake of creating. I am able to get 30 downloads for $30 a month which for my purposes is perfect. For someone that just wants to create art non commercially then depositphotos offers the best value.
