I have a Dell PC and desk top for one reason. Excellent customer service and warranties, both of which I have used. The computers are real work horses and I love them. No, they're not cool Macs, but it's nice to have this option in terms of affordability and back up. Results count.

Laptop Purchase
December 5, 2018

On 11.23.2018, I purchased via online a laptop from Dell.com; I was promised expedited shipping with the understanding that I would receive my laptop by 11.30.2018, as of today 12. 5. 2018 I have not received this item. Each time I call customer service they are of no help at all, I am been told that the item is still at the manufacture. I checked the status today (12.05.2018) and the laptop left Fedex Hub@ 6:25 a.m. The new estimated delivery date is now 12. 6. 2018@ the end of the day. This laptop was purchased with the hope of being able to use it during my final exams. I am extremely frustrated and highly disappointed in Dell. I will never purchase another Dell product as long as I live. Angela Y. A very disappointed ex- Dell consumer.

Dell Server
March 7, 2023

June 2022 My company bought a new Dell server and work stations. We spent over $20,000.00 for this system. Finally in November 2022 the system was delivered. Finally after the first of the year 2023 dell sent us a project coordinator., to hook up the system. Although Dell didn't send us everything we needed or ordered. So its March 7 2023. Its been 10 months since we ordered the system. NONE WORKING SYSTEM. Dell has there server department in India. The people that work in that department have very broken English, nobody from this company can understand them. They also want us to sit on the phone with them for 8 hours. We are trying to run our own business. Not trying to do Dells work for them. Finally the system is out of the boxes. Looks pretty, but it does not work. BIG PAPER WEIGHT.

I buy a lot of business grade pc's thru Dell and I am not often disappointed. They are very stable and well built. They are easy to maintain and Support is well laid out and useful on their website.
I do think they can be deceptive in their sales. Often they will have a coupon sale for an item like 30% off. However, they usually just increase the price of the item accordingly so there are no real savings.

Inspiron 16 5625 - Bad Product

The product is bad quality. Recent purchase required change of touch screen, keyboard and speakers.
The speakers continue not working and now they will change the motherboard.
I asked for an option to leave a review and the answer was the following "It seems the reviews are closed for now, you can contact Dell Care after a few months and check."
No Dell reviews. You cant trust the product.

Extremely bad
December 14, 2016

It's the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with so far. I bought a brand new computer that was not working from the day it arrived at my doorstep. I then spent three hours on the phone with technical support and the issue was still not resolved. They even refused to exchange my computer because it was an unresolvable 'software issue'. I have to say I'm very disappointed with Dell, I expected their services to be so much better

Spent last 4 hours trying to buy 2 computers. Have been passed around to 13 different people in India and they still can't get the order right but when I ask for someone in the US they hang up on me. Tried to order on line with problems, the chat person from India couldn't help and was so busy with others that he kept ignoring me. The phone recording keeps say to try on line or chat. The live person finally helped with order but could not complete it and made me go through an email, then use text code to confirm. Then they screwed up the amount on invoice and another wrong amount on credit card. Credit card put a fraud alert on it.tried calling every Dell number I found and got no where and you can't get a live American on the phone. Those in India were unable to help me. I'm back to looking for 2 new computers.

Bait and switch?

This year and a few years ago I have discovered that when I was helped by chat on dell.com that an order that was being held for me was not in fact what I had ordered. While the price was the same several of the items we had agreed upon were no longer part of the package. If you still use Dell.com go over everything very carefully and be prepared have a hassle and to wait if you want the great deal you had thought you had arranged. To experience this twice doesn't seem random.

Do not recommend
December 5, 2020

I would not recommend personally or professionally any Dell products. It is the only laptop or computer I have ever owned less than 90 days that is totally inoperable. In addition to the product not up to the standard for the price paid, the premium warranty also stinks. As an accountant in the month of December they expect me to have to wait a month for the motherboard part to be available and then still wait for a technician to install it. Due to it being over 30 days no replacement or refund option is available. They have the audacity to say "it happens". Solution? Purchased another new Hewlett Packard that will be here in 3 days. It doesn't happen that way with them.
I have purchased many HP's over the years for my children and I never a problem, great customer service and worthy. Dell was a bad investment period.

Ordered computer on 8/9 and Fed Ex "lost" the shipment. Today is 8/24 and the replacement computer has not been shipped. Customer service rep called me 8/21 and said it was the highest priority and he would get back to me within 24-48 hours. Radio silence. Try to call and recording says the department is closed. It is 10:30 CA time. Spent $1,000 and have nothing to show for it. Next step is to call my credit card. I have never ever experienced such horrible customer service. Apparently the customer is not important to Dell!

Bought the computer, it worked well for a few months. Then the fans started revving. I learned that they give you a power supply unit that cant supply the power needed to actually run all the fans proper and keep the system cool. My motherboard fries, GPU burns out. I am stuck paying for a $1500 laptop that doesn't work. Cause the warranty only goes for a year unless you cough up another $700. I wont do that, because a computer that can burnout is an issue and I would still be replacing a laptop every year cause the product sucks. Clearly they don't know how to build proper system, or they do and are just trying to gouge you for money. Dell and Alienware are a bad company, and their products are complete garbage. If you buy Alienware or Dell, you will be disappointed. Wish you could give lower than a one star. All these four and five star reviews are clearly not real, look at any other site.

I would not recommend to buy dell laptop. Worst than any other vendor. They say something on the description and but reality is something else. There warranty support is all fake. They usually replace used part in there dell support center. They will not replace your laptop even though it has manufacturing defect. They will not accept and keep repair till your warranty expire. After that they will simply say sorry nothing can be done. You have only option to buy another expensive warranty.
No one there to listen your problem.

The product is good but customer service stinks. Try calling for help and you'll get India that will refuse to give you an American agent. Then they try to sell you additional customer support. I have a $1500 Dell and cannot get America to help me so I'm going with Apple.

One Of The Best

I love Dell. Their support systems are brilliant and their Customer services excel. My first laptop lasted six years with no problems whatsoever. I let someone else use it and unfortunately they messed it up. Otherwise I think I'd still be using it today.

I bought very expensive laptop from Dell, Alienware 17.
If they will not change the way how they sell their products, Dell will go down soon or later. Their sales department should be fired tomorrow, all of them. Otherwise very good brand.

If Dell would sell cars, they will sell you winter tyres during the summer. Do you want roof window? Ok, you can have it, but only if you buy sunglasses. Thats how Dell works.

I am beyond furious with my Dell computer. This thing is an absolute nightmare. I have lost count of how many times I have had to call a technician to come and fix it, and it seems like every time, a new problem arises. The fact that I have to constantly shell out money for repairs is outrageous.

But that's not even the worst part. The customer service at Dell is a complete joke. Every time I reached out for help with my computer, they completely ignored my problems and offered no real solutions. It's like they don't even care about their customers.

I have wasted countless hours on the phone with Dell customer service, and I have gotten absolutely nowhere. They are unhelpful, rude, and dismissive. It's like they want me to just give up and buy a new computer.

Terrible customer service

Bought a new laptop and it came with a bad battery that did not charge. I contacted customer service to get unit replaced, the process is still ongoing, terrible exeperice, first and last time Dell customer. They are the worst to deal with. I tried to leave a review on their website but they won't publish it... so scummy.

I swear by Dell

Not to go into too much detail but I've been buying Dell's for 20 years. I've worked on many different brands of computer both from a user standpoint and a repair standpoint.

I can only say, that when it's time to buy a new one, I buy a Dell. When someone asks me for a recommendation, I recommend Dell. I've never had major trouble with anything. From tech support to quality.

I bought a vostro 3910 about 2 months ago to replace a 12 y.o. HP that's been slowing down and have regretted it ever since. The Dell PC keeps randomly freezing up and I have to do a hard reset to un-freeze it. I called tech support who did a firmware update which didn't fix the problem. I called tech support again and after spending about 45 minutes with someone from India, who I was barely able to understand, it was decided to send out a field tech to replace the mother board which accomplished nothing since it still freezes up. After researching the problem online I found that a lot of people have this problem and Dell is aware of it Their lame solution is to restart the PC frequently. I shut it down every night and all day while I'm at work and still have the problem. So $750 later I'm stuck with this POS!
