The Daz store would REALLY benefit from more robust filter and sorting functionality. Like, for example, being able to filter by both a current sale and a category like outfits, or poses, or add-on utilities.
Despite the huge number of items and collection of items or "bundles" along with the many different "specials," the DAZ store has become much easier to navigate. I knew what I wanted from visiting the site earlier, but DAZ was still able to make suggestions on other items similar to what I placed in my cart. I wasn't expecting to buy more than what I intended, but felt good about the deal I got!
Daz3D shope is not working in my primary browser (Google Chrome) - can pass the captcha when logging so any work with the shop is not possible. Have to install secondary browser (Mozilla) to be able to log in.
It would be 5 stars BUT: Search is horrible. I need a way to see, in the HUGE sale categories, to filter out the items I've added to my wish list. Secondly, the wishlist needs a way to remove items I've bought. And third, the wishlist needs a way to filter by 'on sale'. I'd buy a lot more stuff. I realize your marketing people probably want to have me look at page after page of stuff, but instead I just leave without buying ANYTHING.
They take your money immediately but they are very slow in delivering your purchase, or even a good product. They make you purchase useless items with the promise that you will get a good one in the near future - which does happen eventually, but only way later than promised, without the promised discount, and sometimes only if you were lucky enough not to have to send a ticket for it ( which, of course, needs weeks to process). Also, their flagship product ( DAZ3D program itself) has many issues that they would not tell you about. For example, even tough they encourage you to buy products after products, they don't tell you that the program cannot support even a medium-sized library. You only find out after you insist and insist to talk to someone who can explain why the simplest action ( like, selecting an item in the scene) takes minutes to complete - which, obviously, makes the program useless. They also charge you in advance for the yearly subscription, and, in my case, TWICE ( only got my money back after complaining to the bank about it; and they did not even bother to apologize).
I purchased a gift card, but the order confirmation page only offers to let me INSTALL my order. That is not applicable to gift cards. Why doesn't it offer to let me convert my gift card to Store Credit?
Hate the add to cart pop up that doesn't even tell the cart total cost. Can't search for particular artist in the store anymore - text input field is gone and the artist order is not even alphabetical. Too much white space on left of shop page.
Has GoFigure gone the way of the dodo? I noticed that the product is listed in the store as 'inactive',, and there is precious little in the way of aniblocks for Genesis 8.
Am I going to have to search for another animation strategy/pipeline? I am just a hobbyist, after all...!
I use Daz 3D for the figures only, whom I mostly export directly to Maya, 3ds Max aso. Sadly I must say, I would love to use Daz 3D more often but, as a Pro 3D artist your business model doesn't simply suit my needs! First, there is the file path and structure sytem, who is simply a mess, very often files disappear, don't load correctly... second, working in Daz studio is simply outdated compared to other 3D software, and third, there is simply no structured help reference, learning system, fourth the bridges (3ds Max, Maya) are unfinished and rarely updated. Why don't you develop a second more stable payable Pro version for pro artists, and studios? You have clearly a niche market with your figures, something the competition doesn't have or make the bridges way better professional and charge more for them, regards!
MOST of everythings good, although we would like to see more styles of sci fi and superhero content, armor, symbols like the omega symbol, letters like the alpha, omega, theta, beta, secret lairs, for villians and heroes, pants with tiger stripes cut outta them, and gadgets.
Daz as a company has lost touch with its customers. You seem more interested in pushing gaming and NFT's instead of trying to keep your 3D art costumers around.
Your QA has slipped over the years and you are on par with how bad Renderosity was 10 years ago and appear to have no interest in fixing the issue and treating your customers better.
You also have a serious issue with some of your moderators. Richard seems to be more interested in delivering snarky or snide comments than helping people.
Although purchasing is quite easy. Downloading is a train wreak and utter nightmare! DazCentral is complete garbage. It freezes with any mouse click and take 4 to 5 times to download anything without it crashing and you are forced to FORCECLOSE the program.
I buy from just about every category in the DAZ store, except clothing. While I'm happy to have found this product, I really do like clothing, but DAZ clothing no longer has useful morphs- it's just dforce. This is fine, it usually looks good in many poses, but it no longer has useful morphs. This really limits clothing in the DAZ store compared with clothing from other sites.
Actually purchasing items on DAZ is easy (maybe even too easy. Lol). Two areas that aren't easy is figuring out whether some items are on sale, and how much the discount might be. The item I purchased today had a clearly marked down price so there was no mystery about how much it would cost.
I am not impressed with the DAZ web site, it does not work well with Firefox, returning to last page does not return you to the same spot of last page or sometimes to the last page at all, moving forward to the next page dumps you at the bottom of the next page and does not load any of the itmems on that page until you scroll to the top manualy. I know these are minor things but i liked your old site much better.
I love it so much! Its easy to animate! The characters are so realistic so thats a big plus! I would recommend this software to everyone i know! Guaranteed! Its a very easy software to use! And very fun to create different morphs and create beautiful characters! I find it very addicting and loads of entertainment! I been using this software for 10 years and i have had nothing but good things to say about it! This is the best animated and render software i ever used in my whole life and i am very happy!
Ty so much Daz3d! You are the best! Also i am very impressed on how daz studio has update alot and made the rendering speeds much faster! They have done a marvelous job and iam very happy with them!
The number and quality of free items that comes along with Daz+ has been consistently disappointing in recent months and is making me think it won't be worth renewing my membership.
This site is disturbingly lacking in easily accessible user reviews, ratings and feedback on products. Basic information like date of publication is missing from product pages.
Prices even with discounts tend to be too high. There's a constant price creep on all products. As a hobby this is getting too expensive. I wish the check out process would remember my preferences.
An excellent product which, combines great visuals with relatively easy-to-use manipulation of the models. It has transformed the imaging for my podcast "Angel and May"
All good as usual. The new layout works fine. Not entirely happy with the cart's pop up window every time an item is added. An off-screen cart would be much nicer and practical.
I like seeing sports outfits for G8/8.1 males, thank you.
I would also love a baseball, and soccer outfit, but in time I'm sure they will come. Thanks, DAZ
Answer: You get 3 free transfers then there is a cost to upgrade to unlimited. I found a much better program FaceGen Artist Pro. It's pricey at $139 but gives much better results than the built in face transfer.
Answer: Daz has a free transfer program on their website for blender, maya and many more. Works good!
Answer: No, Daz Studio does animation. You will render your animation series.
Answer: Daz3D will not read those files, as they are just text. However, the files can be "rendered" as an image, for use within Daz3D. Or, if you are asking about the other side of things, Daz3D can render images or video, which can be used along with your presentations. Both of those formats you mention, do not normally include "video formats". Neither of them are "image formats". PDF is just a text layout format for printing pages. MS-Word is just a text-formatting program, for use with printing too, for direct display in MS-Word, or on printed paper. However, it can export in other formats. (Not to be confused with "Word pad".) If you can put the words on an image, in any form, they can be used within Daz3D, for display. However, Daz does not have any form of "text-rendering code", to convert text into 3D objects.
Answer: When you register with the website, you will be given a code that is entered for you. If that fails, for whatever reason, you can go to your profile page and locate all "license codes", used to activate all the free items which may need them. (Or the paid programs, if you buy them.)
Daz3D has a rating of 3.6 stars from 1,447 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with Daz3D most frequently mention good experience, customer service and high quality. Daz3D ranks 2nd among Graphic Design sites.
