I will never use a health care organization that treats me so unimportant that they have decided I'm not even worth answering the phone when I call with a pharmacy question. How could you seriously have arrived at that decision with any sort of optimistic outlook on the impact it would have on your pharmacy business?
I will NEVER set foot in one of your stores again until you have a human answer the phone when I call my pharmacist with questions about the medication they've dispensed to me.
For 25 years, my family of 8 have relied on your pharmacy and your pharmacist as a valued resource for my family's medical needs. It is a despicable SHAME that you have chosen to put profits over care quality by taking away the ability for the pharmacy staff at your stores to answer calls directly from the patients to which they provide medical services. I have spent 25 years developing a personal relationship with your pharmacy staff, and I do not agree with being reduced to mail order level impersonal robotic service? I don't think so.
As a result of your Company's choice to dehumanize us, my entire 8 person family have removed all of our lifelong prescriptions and pharmacy records from your pharmacy and demanded they be transferred to now be filled at the local Ferndale Family Pharmacy located directly across the street from your store.
After 25 years of Loyalty to your brand and your store, you have lost our business forever. Your corporate greed has poisoned our relationship.
Your area manager tried very hard to convince me that the phone system restriction was needed in order to continue to deliver a high quality of service from your pharmacists. This is obviously a direct lie. It is insulting that you would think that I don't have the critical thinking skills to realize that there are hundreds of local pharmacies who can both answer the phone and STILL turn a profit. In fact, one of them is located directly across the street from your store. How convenient for me. The truth of the matter is that the only pharmacy that can't answer the phone and still somehow maintain their core business seems to be your chain. From that perspective, the explanations and apologies from your area manager come across as dishonest and hollow.
The pharmacists at the Ferndale Family Pharmacy are able to deliver the same quality of service that your location used to deliver, but they are somehow also able to have a pharmacist answer the phone whenever I call with a medication related concern. If my local pharmacy is able to deliver that level of service, without issue, then I can only conclude that your company has decided it is more important to save money turning off the phones than it is to continue providing quality care to my family.
You should consider changing your company name to CVS Low Budget Pharmacy, because that is the direction that this shift is signaling you are moving.
I don't know how you think that having an automated attendant and a "leave a message and we will maybe call you back within 24 hours if we feel its necessary" policy for your healthcare patients is going to be beneficial to you.
It is my sincere hope that many of your customers share my feelings of betrayal and disappointment in this matter, and that it results in enough of a loss of pharmacy patients that you have no choice but to reverse your position and reopen your phone lines like the proper healthcare provider you pretend to be.
It would appear that your company has gotten so large that you have forgotten that you. Are primarily a pharmacy, which is a person based health care organization. With the recent string of bankruptcy in so many of your major chain competitors, you would think it would be a warning sign to you that your profit hungry corporate conglomerate pharmacies are no longer delivering care that your customers consider acceptable.
On February 17,2024, I went to the minute clinic located on 799 Rockville pike in Rockville md, because I was in serious pain, my right ear was hurting me, at the point from 0 to 10, I was 7 or 8, I went there because I had some other medication that I had to pick up, the pain was so terrible that I decided to schedule an appointment at the minute clinic, they have a computer outside so you can schedule an appointment, I was in the process of doing that, but because the appointment was at 2:30 pm I decided to ask the nurse if they could see me before than, because I just couldn't stand the pain, the nurse politely said I see what I can do for you, after 2 hours of waiting I went to ask the nurse, she said you are going to have to come back because your appointment is at 2:30 and nurse Embele won't see you until than, came back at 2:20 pm hoping that she was going to see me than, Mann! 2:40 and nothing happen, I went to ask her about what's going on, she replied that I had to wait because she was cleaning the office, I'm sure Mss. Justine Embele doesn't have any idea, about what being in pain is al about, after 2 hours of cleaning, she trew my wife and I a face mask, and told me that from now on I had to wear a ask if I wanted to talk to her, that was for my wife as well, not a problem for me, but what I didn't like is that the rest of the people walking in and out of the office, were not wearing a mask. That really make me feel bad, plus the pain that I had to deal with, I was going creasy, is evident that this king of nurses need more training, the firt one was nice and polite, but the other one didn't care about me sufferings from pain, the medication that she prescribe me didn't work at all, that nigh I had to go to the hospital, because I couldn't stand the pain, over there they prescribe me pain killers an something to stop the infection. Now after a follow up with my doctor I still have to go see an specialist, the pain is not like before, but is still there, the pain killers prescribe to me by the hospital doctor really work!
I will never go back to the CVS minute clinic, because the experience that I had there that day, was really painful!
I really want to thank the first nurse for being so kind and helpful, and to the other nurse she needs to learn what empathy is al about, and to have mercy on somebody especially when they are in pain
This is at least the third time that I have submitted a complaint about CVS refusing to fill my prescription according to state laws, violating HIPPA, discrimination unprofessional conduct as well as emotional distress. I went to pick up my prescription this morning after the pharmacy tech advised me that my prescription (which the same Dr has been prescribing for over a year could not be filled until the day that it is due to be filled. He said he would leave the request for it to be filled on 12/16z I called back on 12/15 approx 10:30 pm. I asked that she fill it as soon as Possible on Dec 16 and that I would need to pick it up before I went to work. I also had other rxs waiting. She said to give her 2 hours. I caught an Uber and arrived around 12:30am on 12/16. She said it would be another hour. I told her that I would wait. Meanwhile, the pharmacy tech received a phone call that made her visibly upset. She went outside for about 30 mins saying that the girl he was cheating with could "pull up" (meaning come fight). About an hour later, I asked how much longer it would be because I had to call my Uber back and my 13 yr old son who was with me needed to go home and get ready for bed. The tech had just come on and her and the pharmacist was having a personal conversation about what happened with her boyfriend…all while I'm waiting to get my medication. The pharmacist said she just filled it and give her a few mins. I pointed out the fact that no one had come the entire time I was there and I was the only one waiting. The pharmacy tech immediately stated that I could leave and that she was calling the "Po Po" (the police). I was not rude nor combative, however the tech and pharmacist's conduct was extremely unprofessional to say the least. As I was walking out with my prescription, the police showed up saying that they received a complaint that I was filming (which I did when the pharmacist yelled at me. I was humiliated and this is getting out of hand and causing emotional distress. They are retaliating against me for filing legitimate complaint regarding the lack of care, extreme unprofessionalism (most of the time in front of customers) and violating HIPPA. This must stop. The Pharmacy manager, Dan Hightower
*******268 called and was extremely unsympathetic and nonchalant. He never apologized he doesn't care nor does CVS corporate
Sonya Palmer, pharmacist
Danielle Parks, pharmacy tech
Names and license numbers below are public record and I am a legit customer of this pharmacy as of 2/18/22 but have since Switched all of my prescriptions to another company/pharmacy due to my experience. I am not any leaving comments in the comments section. This is an accurate review.
CUSTOMER CARE REPORT FOR MY EXPERIENCE AT CVS AT 1020 S BROAD ST PHILADELPHIA, PA ******* on 2/18/22
I REPORTED MELISSA GIORDANO, pharmD at CVS HEALTH, CVS PHARMACY, aka MELISSA ROSE GIORDANO, OF PHILADELPHIA, PA WHO IS ALSO A TEMPLE UNIVERSITY School of Pharmacy graduate, NPI ***********, PHARMACY LICENSE NUMBER RP******* as well as ERIC S TSU, pharmD NPI #*********** AND PHARMACY LICENSE NUMBER RP******* for their comments and behavior to the US DEPT OF STATE (PENNSYLVANIA) BUREAU OF PROFESSIONAL AND OCCUPATIONAL AFFAIRS ON 2/18/2022.
I also previously reported a technician at this location for eating a kind bar (a snack)while filling prescriptions in public view. That technician is still employed at this location. Melissa Rose Giordano refused to provide me with her last name after I requested it to file a complaint following her providing me with misinformation regarding my prescriptions. Eric S TSU also refused to provide me with Melissas last name after I Brought to both their attention that I was provided misinformation which impacts my disability.
I then asked them both for their license numbers and/or NPI numbers. Melissa GIORDANO ARGUED WITH ME AND WALKED AWAY AS SHE SPOKE TO ME explicitly stating youre not getting my last name.
BOTH MELISSA ROSE GIORDANO AND ERIC S TSU FALSIFIED INFORMATION TELLING ME THAT PHARMACISTS DONT HAVE LICENSE NUMBERS OR NPI NUMBERS AS THEY DONT WRITE PRESCRIPTIONS. That is a blatant LIE as evidenced by public record for their professional titles.
MELISSA ROSE GIORDANO REPEATED TO ME THAT SHE WAS NOT GOING TO PROVIDE ME WITH HER LAST NAME multiple times in an antagonizing manner.
THANKFULLY I WAS ABLE TO GET BOTH THEIR NAMES AND LICENSE NUMBERS AS IT IS PUBLIC RECORD.
I HAVE MULTIPLE DISABILITIES AND A SERVICE ANIMAL AND CANNOT TRAVEL LONG DISTANCES NOR DRIVE ON A REGULAR BASIS, AND THIS IS THE CLOSEST CVS TO MY RESIDENCE AS WELL AS THE IN NETWORK PHARMACY FOR MY INSURANCE PLAN BUT I AM NOW IN FEAR OF VISITING THIS CVS PHARMACY LOCATION AFTER THE HOSTILITY AND BLATANT MISINFORMATION THAT I RECEIVED ON 2/18/22 from both PHARMACISTS MELISSA GIORDANO AND ERIC S TSU.
IN ADDITION, SINCE BOTH MELISSA GIORDANO AND ERIC S TSU LIED TO ME BY SAYING THEY DONT HAVE LICENSE NUMBERS, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE HAVING MY PRESCRIPTIONS FILLED BY EITHER OF THEM. I ALSO FEAR THEIR ABILITY TO ACCESS MY PERSONAL PHARMACY RECORDS.

CVS has proven to be bold-faced liars.
Instead of telling me that Klonopin (. 5mg) is no longer eligible for 90 day supply because it is "controlled," they told me "its no longer being made."
They called my primary care doctor who believed them.
I called UNITED HEALTHCARE, who has just paid for the 30 days, CVS supplied to me, and they told me, it is NOT discontinued, CVS only carries the generic Cyclobenzapine.
I used the online portal to alert my doctor of their LIE, and told him my new DEFAULT pharmacy would be Manchester Pharmacy. They have it in stock right now and they said, it is NOT discontinued.
Why lie to doctors and customers because of a decision CVS made to not carry KLONOPIN anymore.
I only take. 5mg at bedtime.
United Healthcare told me, a person can take up to (4) pills a day, so not sure why they are going to such lenghts to try and prevent me from taking it.
I actually have ARACHNOIDITIS and no doctor in Connecticut ever heard of it.
I had to punch out documents from a Cinncinati Ohio hospital, specifically talking about how undertreated arachnoiditis is, and the combination of medications that stops the profuse night sweats I had endured for 2 years. NOBODY would address it.
Opiate, muscle relaxant and Klonopin. 5mgs = 0 night sweats.
Doctors hate that combination, but arachnoiditis is a weird injury that is caused by spinal fusions and steroid injections and nerve blocks. I had all of that for 2 decades.
Now that I find help from a pain management in another state willing to assist me, they want to "ball it all up."
Suicide is typical for Arachnoiditis because of DOCTORS too lazy to research, and patients suffer because of them.
I am fighting for myself to live in the least amount of pain that neurosurgeons and pain management that ONLY deals in INJECTIONS causes us.
They get richer and we get sicker. Then they toss us away like trash.
CVS sucks, and any doctor that just believes them without further investigating is called a MALPRACTICE.
I am done with WALGREENS & CVS.
They are both obstructionists to people in need of relief not additional anxiety.
Store 231 in Vernon, CT on Talcottville Road- BYE-BYE~
KLONOPIN is not discontinued by the manufacturer.
Check their lies out.
30 days supply of the end of the KLONOPIN (.5mgs) pm only, they had in stock. Now I am leaving to go to a pharmacy that does not lie to customers.
BOYCOTT CVS PHARMACY LOCATION AT 6310 BURLINGTON ROAD, WHITSETT NC *******... BETWEEN THEIR INCOMPETENT CASHIER WENDY AND WORTHLESS MINIMUM WAGE STORE MANAGER. PAM.
I & HUBBY, CVS IS FIRED. I CANCELLED MY MONTHLY CAREPASS, XFR OUR ENTIRE PRESCRIPTIONS OVER TO ANOTHER PHARMACY, WHERE I KNOW I CAN GET AN EMAIL RECEIPT AND PRINTED RECEIPT WITH NO HASSLE, AND BE TREATED WITH KINDNESS AND PROFESSIONALISM BY THE CASHIER. I DID NOT PURPOSELY GO INTO THAT CVS PHARMACY LOOKING FOR TROUBLE THAT DAY, WHEN ALL I DID WAS ASK FOR A SIMPLE PRINTED REGISTER RECEIPT, OF WHICH I NEVER GOT, OMG! SERIOUSLY, LOL... THEY HAVE LOST BOTH OF US AS RETURNING CUSTOMERS.
WE ARE DONE. WE HAVE DECIDED WE ARE GOING TO BE VERY SELECTIVE ON WHO WE SPEND OUR MONEY WITH. NO CVS AT ANY LOCATION WILL NEVER EVER GET OUR BUSINESS. AFTER BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 15 YEARS, NO MORE. DONE WITH CVS PHARMACY!
THEIR INCOMPETENT CASHIER WENDY WAS SO DISORIENTED IN MY REQUEST WHEN ALL I DID WAS ASK FOR A REGISTER PRINTED RECEIPT AT THE END OF MY TRANSACTION. SHE REFUSED CAUSE SHE SENT IT TO MY EMAIL. SHE CALLED ME A LIAR WHEN I TOLD HER I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET BOTH AN EMAIL AND PRINTED RECEIPT FROM ANOTHER CVS.
AND CVS WEBSITE CLEARLY SAYS " ASK FOR DIGITAL RECEIPTS THE NEXT TIME YOU VISIT. ( P.S. YOU CAN STILL GET PRINTED RECEIPTS... KEEP ON PLAYING)... CAUTION CVS WILL MISTREAT YOU THEIR CASHIER THAT DAY ACTED APE CRAZY IF YOU ASK FOR A PRINTED REGISTER RECEIPT, JUST BECAUSE SHE EMAILED IT. SHE DID NOT CARE ENOUGH TO ASK THE CUSTOMER WOULD YO LIKE TO RECEIVE IT BY EMAIL OR PRINTED. SHE TOOK IT UPON HERSELF TO DECIDE FOR ME.
HER HORRIBLE BEHAVIOR ABOUT IT LEFT ME WALKING OUT UNHAPPY. SHE DID NOT TRY TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO PRINT MY RECEIPT FROM THE REGISTER. SHE MADE NO ATTEMPT TO CALL FOR HELP FROM A MANAGER TO SHOW HER HOW TO DO IT. HER HOSTILE BEHAVIOR AND TONE TOWARDS ME, SHE REFUSED.
I FILLED OUT THE CVS SURVEY THEY EMAILED ME. I MADE SURE IT SHOWED " 0. " BAD EXPERIENCE, UNSATISFACTORY, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SHOP AT CVS PHARMACY. BAD NEWS TRAVELS FAST.
THEN AFTERWARDS NEXT DAY I GET THIS NICE EMAIL FROM PAM, STORE MANAGER, APOLOGIZING FOR HER BAHAVIOR, SAYING WECARE SORRY YOU HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE, SHE SAID IN THE EMAIL, CALL ME SO I CAN MAKE IT BETTER.
SO I DO CALL AND I WAS DISTRAUGHT BY HER VINDICTIVE HOSTILE BEHAVIOR ON THE PHONE. SHE WENT OFF ON ME, TALKING LOUD OVER ME AS I WAS TRYING TO EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPEN, CAUSE SHE DID ASK ME WHAT HAPPEN. I NEVER GOT A WORD IN, SHE EXCUSED ME OF SCREAMING ON THE PHONE, OF WHICH I DID NOT, SHE CAUSED ME TO TALK LOUD OVER HER TRYING TO EXPLAIN. I THINK SHE PURPOSELY ASK ME TO CALL, SO THAT SHE COULD GANG UP ON ME WITH THE CASHIER WENDY. WHAT STORE MANAGER ACTS LIKE THAT?! SERIOUSLY. SHE DID NOT OFFER ANY SYMPATHY OR EMPATHY. SHE CLEARLY SHOWED HERSELF WITH A LOUD HOSTILE TONE. SHE DID NOT CARE TO HEAR WHAT I HAD TO SAY. SHE MADE IT WORSE. THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR HER VINDICTIVE BEHAVIOR!
THEN I SAID I WILL CALL CVS CORPORATE AND HANG UP ON HER.
NO MORE CVS PHARMACY. I DID NOT DESERVE TO BE MISTREATED LIKE THIS IN THE STORE AND OVER THE PHONE, JUST BECAUSE I ASK FOR A SIMPLE PRINTED REGISTER RECEIPT. I & HUBBY, WE DON, T NEED CVS PHARMACY. THEY HAVE COMPETITION!
I HAVE BEEN OUT OF MY ATORVASTATIN 40 MG FOR SOME TIME, AND NOW I HAVE TO HAVE A HEART CAITH DUE TO A POSSABLE BIOCKAGE AND IF I DO HAVE WHEN THEY GO INTO MY HEART TOMARROW THEN I WILL BE SEEKING AND ATTORNEY SUE FOR DAMAGE FOR NOT HAVING MY MEDS BECOUSE OF WATING FOR CVS TO REFILLED IT. I HAVE TOOK A LIST OF ALL MY MED SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY WIND UP NOT FILLING MY PERSCRIPTION AND CAUSING ME TO MISS TAKING MY MED FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. HALF THE TIME I MISS TAKING MY MED DUE TO THE FACT I WOULD RUN OUT AND HAVE TO WAITE ON THEM TO REFILLING IT. NOW WHEN THEY SEE ME THEIR EXCUSE IS WELL WE CALL YOUR DOCTOR SO AND SO AND THEY HAVE NOT GOT BACK TO US YET. I ASKED WHO DID YOU SEND THE REFILL TO AND THEY SAID DR SO AND SO AND IT WOULD BE A DOCTOR I HAVENT SEEN IN YEARS AND I ASKED WHY DID YOU SEND IT TO THEM WHEN I TOLD YOU I GO TO DOCTOR KELLY NOW. I WOULD IN TURN TELL THEM THAT I TOLD YOU SEVERAL TIMES I CHANGE DOCTORS AND NO MATTER WHAT I TELL YOU, YOU ALWAYS CALL THE DOCTOR WHO I NOLONG SEE ANY MORE. NOW WHEN THEY SEE ME, THEY TELL ME THE DOCTOR CAN'T BE CHANGE. ALL BECOUSE THE DOCTOR WAS MY DOCTOR WHO WROTE THE SCRIPTS AND THE DOCTOR NAME IS IN THE SYSTEM PERMENTLY AND CAN'T BE REMOVE FROM IT. LEAVING ME RUNNING OUT OF MY MED ALL BECOUSDE I CAN'T GET IT FILLED. SO WHY CAN'T THEY CHANGE IT? I THANK THEY USED THIS EXCUSE SO THEY CAN COVER UP THEIR POOR SERVICE AND PLACING ALL THE BLAMED ON THE DOCTOR TO CLEAR THEM OF ANY LIABLE JUST TO SAVED THEIR REAR END. WHAT WILL HAPPEN ONE DAY IF SOME ONE DON'T TAKE ACTION IS THAT THEY ARE GOING TO COUSED A PERSON TO RUN OUT OF THEIR VITAL MED AND THAT PERSON DIES THEN THEY WILL BE ASKING THEM WHY DID WE NOT TAKE ACTION AND CORECTED THIS BEFORE A LIFE WAS LOST DUE TO THE FACT THE PERSON RAN OUT OF HIS LIFE SAVING MEDS ALL BECOUSE CVS FAILED TO REFILL IT. I THANK SOME PROBLEM MIGHT BE IS THEY HIRE PEOPLE WHO SHOULD NOT BE IN A POSITION BECOUSE THEY ARE NOT QUALITY TO BE THERE. CVS DOES THIS FOR LARGER PROFITS FOR THE STOCK HOLDERS SO THEY CAN GET RICHER. DON'T THEY KNOW BY LETTING UNTRAIN PERSONAL TO HAVE CONTROL OF PEOPLE MEDS AND GIVING THEM CONTROL OVER LIFE AND DEATH IS DANGERS. IT TIME WE PUT MORE RESTRICTION ON THESE DRUG STORE AND MAKE THEM LIABLE FOR THEIR MISTAKE BEFORE THEY CAUSE A PERSON DIE OR A CHILD TO LOSS THIR LIFE.
Looked online for best price on deodorant that I can only find online due to allergies.
CVS.COM advertised an online temporary discount (25%) plus free shipping. I spent a lot of time trying to place the order but whenever I put in the "code" it would drop the discount/free shipping or say something like this website is currently having technical difficulties after one of the tries the final bill showed the correct price & no shipping charge then asked for my credit card number but then on the review of the order it showed the discount was gone and the charge for shipping back on there although I hadn't hit the last button to place the order.
I called number for the website from one of the messages that popped up if there was I problem so I called and a person said "I can take it over the phone" so I gave him all the information, including my email, cc # and discount code, he said what the final total would be including the the discount and free shipping which I agreed was correct. Long story short I was charged twice the amount got no email/order number, had no idea when the product was suppose to arrive. Called customer service the first chance I got when they were open and spent 40 minutes the first time with a very suspicious run-around waited 2 days for results still no credit on my charge, no email or product.
Called customer service again after 2 days told them who I spoke to and went over all that had happened with the last 2 people I talked to and the customer service person said "There's no one here named Jenny and I've been here for 7 years" proceeded to ask me for my name, address, email, products by then I had a number from first call and said that number was not mine said cant find that order put me on hold again, so while she had me on hold I looked at BBB website and complaints showed same tactics were being used on me that someone else wrote in detail that had been used on them. It is a systemic underhanded tactic. They take people's money, time & rip you off while frustrating you. Bottom line she continued to mess with me even after I told her what I just read on the BBB web site but I did get my money back only after threatening to report to the BBB myself and stop payment on my credit card. Still never received email order number or invoice. By messing with me I mean they put you on hold, ask to go over all the in formation for the third time. Saying this never happened before.
Customer Service is very much a front line to get you to give up instead of them making things right. For instance they used another same gender name that started with the same first letter for my name when I gave them the order number. Then she said let me search again by your address and asked me AGAIN what my address was and it only has three digits. She said well we have ### making the last digit wrong then put me on hold after saying she'd search AGAIN for that ship to address coming back saying still couldn't find it. Came back saying no cant find your order and I've tried everything.
Although they did get my credit card number exactly right but certainly not the amount. They screw with you hoping you'll just give up and they end up using numerous tactics including outright lies instead of correcting their criminal ways of taking peoples money.
See #11 http://www.icmi.com/Resources/Chat/2014/01/Customer-Service-Cheat-Sheet-for-Live-Chat-Operators. Although what they let you see on that website is mild compared to what they actually did in this case and the others such as seen on the BBB website.
