Great pricing with additional items needed free with purchase. Extremely fast and free delivery also. Instruction to assist in install very lacking though. Tried to use Youtube also very lacking. Shut down Youtube, put away Crutchfield included cheat sheet, went ahead and just winged it from years of experience although on much simpler systems and finally got it working on my own. Had I known it would be this problematic would have purchased much simpler system.
I personally have not done business with Crutchfield. I considered it. Until I could not find an email address online. Shady at best. It's simply not there. And they ship via USPS. Also a red flag. I refuse to do business with any online retailers who utilize the USPS. It's regrettably a bad idea doing business with any retailers who use USPS. You will likely not get your package on time. Or in working condition. Rather a box of broken parts. I'll buy elsewhere.
Just received device. Charging now however the battery is swollen on arrival. I hope though it works but going to need a battery replacement part for the disco itself. Please contact me so I can get that otherwise the review will stay at 3 for now.
Terrible customer service. Had to go through all the hassle of setting up my account for international purchases and was told after a while that they were unable to fulfill any orders of any kind to me for whatever reason. I complied and did everything they asked me to (which I never had to do with any other stores). If they do not welcome international customers, they do not accept their money. Do not invite them to log in and place an order. This is all Marlon Cerritos terrible customer service. And I blame him for losing me as a customer so their superiors should know that I'm walking away with thousands of dollars to another stores just because of him.
Crutchfield poor service after the sale
Purchased new higher end Denon receiver because of the tech support services available. Had problems with our receiver from the beginning with no sound at times. Crutchfield was not willing to exchange the three week old unit and had no solution to solve the problem other than to ship our new receiver into a service center at our expense. We could have and now know, should have just purchased the Denon receiver from place with better price as Crutchfield customer support isn't worth anything but a friendly person to socialize with on the phone
I was very excited to buy the complete install not for my Tahoe with step by step instructions. Unfortunately, the instructions were vague and confusing. After spending a weekend researching videos I finally found one that answered most of my questions, and after some trial and error I got the radio working. But crutchfield is VERY misleading with their supposed "free" step by step installation instructions. Don't take the cheese. Do your research!
Have to ask tons of questions to receive decent customer service and overpriced products. Misleading multiple people. Weak and liars! Spoke with other customers also.
I purchased a set of component speakers with the assurance that crutchfield has done extensive research they would fit my application and if I had any trouble their experts would be able to help. Baloney. My car is five years old, expert only had experience with a car that was a generation older. Still don't know how to utilize crossovers so I can't install tweeters that came with kit. Could have saved money on coaxials, but now I'm left holding the bag.
Their customer service literally are ignorant especially Olga as she has no clue how to solve any issue with customers! She doesn't bother if simple issue took weeks until get it solved and she has no flexibility to find alternative better solution to expedite solve it whooo how crazy are they! Please stay away from those people as their system is garbage and make very simple things more complicated! Not trustworthy place as they have no experience! I think Crutchfield management should replace their customer service to get a better reputation.
Going with crutchfield takes all the guess work out of putting a audio system together. Helpful reviews and perfect fit gear, along with customer unmatched. They do the home work and you get the rewards.

Have used this site for years now great customer service that is always willing and eager to help answer any questions I have. You can tell them what you're trying to accomplish with your sound system and ask for suggestions. All staff seem to be very knowledgeable of the products all of which are high quality name brands. Ive ordered multiple sets of speakers and stereos for cars site shows everything I'll need for install and they send me free picture instructions. Ive always been extremely happy with my purchases and the service. I always refer friends to their site. Prices are very competitive and shipping is fast.
Found what I wanted ordered it for my year car. I got everything I needed radio 4 speakers. Wire harness for speakers and radio to the car. No cutting of the wires was required with everything I got. Crutchfield sent me s lot of free stuff as well that made my install even easier. I am already planning on ordering another system for my wife's vehicle. I will be using this same website. One more thing before I go I needed to have a couple questions answered. So I got on chat and asked they were unable to help me because it was a technical question. They did give the tech my number and they called me a few minutes later. All in all one of the best sites I have ordered from in long time and customer service is top notch. My low mileage (291,000 miles) 1994 Saturn SL2 needed a new radio. Went to the Crutchfield web site, entered my auto year, make and model and boom, all the radios that would fit were displayed. Was pleasantly surprised to find that they had a large selection and customized installation instructions for my 26 year old car. Picked out a nice mid priced radio added it to my shopping cart and then clicked on the installation kits tab and again surprised that the installation kit was included at no cost. Two days later everything arrived via no cost UPS shipping. Installation was a snap, everything fit perfect and the radio sounds great. I highly recommend Crutchfield! 5 Stars
I have been purchasing TVs, camcorders and stereo equipment from this company since they opened their doors. They have the best technical support team on the planet. Where else could you go 10 years after purchasing a stereo component and still get excellent technical support? I had a 15 year old stereo receiver that I had long since lost the manual for and they helped me with some connection issues. Prices are very competitive, but even if they may be slightly more than some discount shops, the lifetime technical support is worth every last penny!
Deciding to move up to a "car play" head unit was the best thing I could do to make my Explorer feel new again. I now have SiriusXM, navigation, Bluetooth phone, and backup camera on a car that had none of this when new. Great!
I have a 1999 Saturn and badly wanted a new radio in my car. I had asked around and mechanics were charging over $200 to put a new one in. After some research on YouTube, I found out about this site. I paid for the ready harness service (which is a blessing) and that made installation 100 times easier. The instructions they sent me were clear and easy to follow and we even had all the tools we needed on hand. Installation took less than a hour, (with my grandfathers help) and it works perfectly. It was so easy. If I had known how easy this would be, we would have upgraded the stock radio and added the backup camera years ago. Think of all the things I ran over, into, and around which could have been prevented.
My 11 year old son watched the videos, glanced at the directions and installed everything in 2 hours and using a flashlight. It's that easy.

I always have a ton of questions about the products I'm looking at and they take the time to explain everything. If you don't want to talk to someone, they have tons of useful guides on the website too. The representatives I have spoken with have never been pushy or rude and have always gone out of their way to help. The selection is incredible and once you've made a purchase, they send wiring diagrams and everything you need to get your job done accurately the first time.
