Beware of craisglist, there so many fake seller there who will offer you fake things but luckily i was able to recover back all I lose in craiglist. Please beware, if anyone has similar issue
They allow ads that indirectly post for sexual encounters but flag ads that specifically says that the poster is not looking for anything inappropriate.
I bought a little kitten from this $#*! website and they said the kitten was completely fine and healthy but when I got it the kitten had FLEAS… the cat also couldn't walk right, it would always be limping and the vet didn't even know why the leg was messed up.
Find anything - craigs list is wonderful you can find anything u want and sometimes things you don't!
Just a wonderful site for what you are looking for
This is the best website. I think this is the most popular website for all category. I use craigslist many time. But now a days many people are scam here.
This site is easy to navigate plus it is where I am earning from the products I am selling. Thanks to this company I highly recommend this company to everyone.
You have to be really careful dealing with people especially high-ticket items. Time-wasters, spammers and scammers are rampant here so expect that.
1. They don't notify you when a listing expires. They do tell you on the website but be honest, how many people would actually check or remember?
2. They hide the potential buyer's email from me yet the potential buyer could see my email upon response. This is irritating because the potential buyer could sometimes be a persuasive bot which then grabs your email or phone number the moment you respond. Not very pleasant considering how much email and text spams we get nowadays. For example, someone emailed me and I responded within minutes. Yet the "person" somehow said "thanks I found one already". This has happened 3 times within two weeks for 2 different items; in other words, there's no way that all 3 communications led to the person "finding another one" so quickly. It's unrealistic and just a waste of my time.
3. With that being said, I used this website for over a decade and they have not once tried to implement any new features to deter bots and spammers. Not even adding CAPTCHAS. For now, it's best to just ignore whatever suspicious emails you get from "buyers".
Craigslist.com DO NOT review ads by people properly. I have used them for years and I have applied to a lot of "seemingly" legitimate jobs and I did not get any replies. In fact, I felt raped and violated because I submit cover letter, resume and contact information as requested but got no response; not even a rejection. This made me feel extremely uncomfortable not knowing if this person just wants your personal information and not even a legit employer.
On top of that, Craigslist.com used to be full of spam, and I would get almost 4-5 emails a day with things like "is this still available?" when it's clearly a scam. If you reply to it, they will ask you to wire money or something. They also did not recognize my password even though it was correct and every two weeks, I had to change it because my password stopped working after two weeks. I have contacted them about this but got no reply.
Also, they should really fish out those ridiculously stupid ads that are not even serious or absolutely disgusting such as people who are hiring someone to "clean" their house but of course, asks you to send photos of yourself (in bathing suit or under garments) and state that you have to be "sexy", etc.. this is just nasty, IMO.
Lastly, the lowballers and other annoying people should be reported or scammers should also be able to be reported. They now make all email addresses anonymous for people who reply to my ad, but they should be hiding MY email address (during direct email contact) since all these people could be spamming me, not the other way around! It made absolutely no sense as I could not report these fake gmail accounts that kept spamming me. They should consider making a message box option so emailing wouldn't have to be an option. I have to make a separate email account just for Craigslist.
On a side note, it's kind of annoying to post all details and info about something in your ad, just to have people reply and ask repetitive questions like the price, condition, etc when it was already stated in the ad.
It's not a pain in the butt to post ads, they seemed to have did something about the annoying spam, and it's fairly easy and straight forward to use. However, there needs to be improvements.. and oh, be careful of people. The fact that this place is almost dead.. with obnoxious idiots on the forums, and constantly lowballers, scammers and spammers.. I am not recommending this.
I do not trust craigslist anymore Everyone watch out for someone useing the name Susan Williams and Email name is *******@gmail.com on craigslist trying to sell a red 1995 Chevrolet c/k pickup saying it's being held at Omaha, NE in Auto proshipping it is a scam they tell you to use Apple iTunes but they use a fake account to steal your money so please be careful about buying online
BEWARE this Craig's List ad from *******@yahoo Listed are two different locations: Catskills & Orlando SAME PHOTOGRAPH - The "owner" does not respond to email sent via CL email.

So far I really enjoy the app. I will be redeeming my first gift card later this week. It is easy to use. I enjoy taking the surveys in my spare time. I wish I qualified for more serveys
First of we were excited renting this house because it is so private and close to everything, but there's only one problem it was the landlord. This man is a big fat liers, b4 we move in he said he would never bother us but then everytime we go outside here's comes Wayne the landlord with his riding go kart in our house, the bad thing is he uses binoculars to stack us and that's not it, my husband called him to fixed our steps outside front doors, my husband went to the store for couple hours then Wayne the landlord came to house without our 24hours notice then he was walking around the house for hours and he never did fixed the steps. We always pay the rent on time except for the last 3 months we were late for a week cause it was a rough months we have. Rent was $800 a month for a year then $850 a month after that and never let him put the water in his name cause he's just gonna use that to come to the house in and out the driveway to be nosey. And if u all rent this house make sure u check everything and take picture of it specially the bathroom and kitchen because when u moved out he will try to used ur deposit money to fixed his house that's already broken or damaged. My husband already called a cops on him cause we were in the process of moving out b4 the 6th of the month and he was banging on the door and says let me in without 24 hour notice but the cops was on his $#*! telling him he was an idiot. Anyways, we have proved pictures on him sitting in our driveway, videos and all.
Bought 2 pairs of cross-country skiis and a bag for under $35. Met the couple in a public place and they met me halfway. I think it was a great experience for the sellers aswell.
My posts are always FLAGGED AND REMOVED FROM CRAIGSLIST for no reason i make sure my posts are in the right category and i answer all the questions and my posts are still FLAGGED AND REMOVED everything from my infant toys to barter. So who's the evil troll rhat flags everyone's posts.
Corey R Fields business names; CF Haulers, CFAUTO, CF TOWING: "I am a man of my word to be trusted" he stated; as he requests half a payment at the beginning of the hauling job and the balance at the end of the job. The fact is: He abandoned the job after getting paid half. The work he did was minimal, he promised to send a refund and Never Did! Beware!

The weakness of capitalist is that it doesn't allow people to post reviews of the businesses posting on their website. I hired Jaimes flooring service from craiglist and regret it.
Jonathon of Jaimes Flooring service worked on my place until I paid him fully for the job. Last time he showed up his saw broke. He said he would return after purchasing a new saw but never did. He didn't show when i expected and kept postponing. Last text was to both postpone and say he expected more money. I gave up after that. A few days ago I came across his craiglist ad and told him how lazy I thought he was. He replied that he had been "hallucinating " from the cat urine smell_ keep in mind -at the start of the job i had told him that the reason I was removing the carpets was because of cat urine.
When hired by me he never mentioned he had a problem with the job. When he didn't return he never explained why or offered to return some of the money I paid him. I am perfectly fine with him rejecting the job but TELL ME LIKE AN ADULT. Don't accept my money, agree to do the job and not show up.
I posted on his Facebook page about his yelp reviews to him replied in writing with this threat:
"Listen the last thing you want to do is f-ck with my money. I still have your address..."
Go with licensed contractors. They don't behave this way because their jobs and licenses are at stake.

I do use this site and have made some sales on it. But I did hear some pretty disturbing things that did happen on the site such as murders, scams, theft, and other messed up situations. I never had anything like this happen to me though luckily, but if you do make a deal or perform any kind of business. Take some safety tips which should be obvious.
1. Never put your full address on the site to your home.
2. Type out phone number to home and cell so when you get a call you.
3. Better to be in an area with tons of people such as a restaurant or your home (But makes sure you are armed with either a knife, stungun, pepperspray, taser, or a firearm hidden just in-case,) Never trust anyone for all you know they may be there to rob or kill you so always be armed and prepared.
4. Let your family or friends know if you have someone coming over or going somewhere to do the transaction.
5. Only except cash or a safe transaction to make sure you don't get ripoff.
6. Remain always cautious and calm when meeting up with someone for a deal somewhere.
Also expect $#*!heads on there who will just message to troll or prank you on there.
There are so many spammers on this site you don't know who is real and who is fake. I found my second job on this site a few years back and everything went well. Recently, I have been looking for a new job (because I moved) as a teachers assistant/substitute. There were (what seemed to be) very legitimate and promising ads. When I sent my resume, the only responses I got were that I needed to send my credit report in order to "qualify" for the position. Are you kidding me? Then, I kept getting junk emails from random, unknown sites that I never signed up for.
Furthermore, I tried to post an ad in the gig section and my ad would either never show up or would be flagged even though they clearly followed the rules and there wasn't profanity, etc. When you try to send CL customer service an email about it, they just send you a generic response telling you to look at the help forum giving possibilities on why your ad was omitted or flagged. They don't help at all! No matter how many emails you send them it's the same response email over and over. I think it's too easy for people to flag ads. If you go on backpage, in order to flag an ad you need to specify why you are flagging, etc. That way, people take it a little more seriously. I found with CL if any little comment offendeds somebody or doesn't sit well with them, they can flag too easily. This site is just a hassle all around. Way to many spammers and scammers out there. My adivce is to be better safe then sorry, STAY AWAY!
Answer: Because the dealers pay them. Craigslist has turned into a spammers haven. There are next to no real postings left. The scammers flag real postings so their ads get priority. Its a dead site.
Craigslist has a rating of 1.8 stars from 513 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Craigslist most frequently mention customer service, several times and phone number. Craigslist ranks 188th among Classifieds sites.
