I am still in my trial of a week, but I have been looking around a bit, watching some videos. Most of it is mainly for beginners, and I really miss all kinds of other craftsy or art stuff, like book binding, pottery, and printing. So, for me, probably not so workable. More a video version of Pinterest. But I like how friendly it looks.
I purchased over fifty Craftsy classes using my Kindle Fire. Craftsy made a change to cater their videos to the Ipad user so my classes no longer play videos on my Kindle Fire. After two months of frustration with tech support, Kindle and Craftsy have both left me hanging. Unless I buy an Ipad, I'm pretty much out of luck. My Kindle plays You Tube and Facebook family videos. It's only the Craftsy website that is no longer user friendly to my specific needs. Craftsy assured me they would address the problem but have stopped communicating with me.
My sister-in-law died. I am executor of her will, I saw this charge on her card for 97.00 as pending. I called to immediately cancel and checked the website, and sighed with relief as the renewal was not due for 5 days. But when I called customer service they said, they do automatic billing 10 days before due and once the ten days prior is reached they have a no refund policy. I explained she was deceased, I had the death certificate, and I did not know about this until I saw the pending charge. Customer service said, sorry...no refunds. I said but it is not due for another five days and she never used the service last year, and they replied sorry, no refunds. I said, so you mean if the person dies, you still charge. They said, no refunds regardless. As a carrot, the representative told me they would not charge her for future years after this one. I said, do you not understand she is deceased. The representative said, I am sorry for your loss but I cannot help you as we have a no refund policy. Amazing... talk about compassion.
I get a daily email regarding their great sales on fabric precuts for quilting. You get what you see in a timely fashion. Once I did not receive my order, and they immediately sent out a new order. I just wish they would have a way to combine shipping on orders, hence the 4 stars.
I was in the middle of a lesson and when I got locked out of my classes. My subscription is paid. I've reached out for help 5 times. No response at all from customer service. The help center is just a chat bot. There is no way to reach a human.
I signed up for craftsy a year ago for a discounted rate, I'm almost 100% sure I went and canceled it shortly after I had signed up for it because I didn't want to pay the expensive renewal fee. They charged my account yesterday and when I noticed it, I immediately sent them an email stating I had canceled it, didn't want it and couldn't afford it and asked them to cancel it and reimburse me but they would not reimburse me. A bunch of crap! My income and life situation has changed since a year ago and now I'm out $97 that was meant to go towards my bills! They didn't seem to care about that. Craftsy will never ever get my business again and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know to stay away.
I paid less then 3 dollars. Obviously it requires auto renewal for a year. Had to cancel my paypal autorenewal. This site grabs few dollars from as much people as they can but there is "zero" service even for the few dollars. Dont waste your time here.
This site is awesome and has helped so many people learn to sew and quilt and knit (in my case). Every time I have written in to their support team, they have been personal and helpful!
I even needed a call from someone and they gave me a call back within the hour. I can only sing their praises.
I purchased a kit from them and when I sent an email for help, it took them a few days to respond that they were looking into it. After 2 weeks I sent a follow up and was told that they got behind because of the holiday. I'm sorry but Labor Day is only one day. And now it's 2 weeks later and I STILL don't have a response.
Craftsy is my favorite place for knitting projects! I'm also buying a lot of my Christmas gifts this year from other vendors on Craftsy. I like the interface a lot better than Etsy. And the unique gifts are the best.
Buyer Beware of the Renewal Membership Scam
Stay away... You purchase a $0.99 membership. Then they automatically renew your memberships for a whopping $171.72. On their website they state that they will send you a reminder email prior to renewing your membership, BUT THEY DO NOT! They fight you to give you a refund. This is unacceptable. They want to hold members accountable, well Craftsy needs to be held accountable for not keeping up with their end of the Agreement. If they say you are going to send a reminder email prior to renewal, then they need to do that. Not just charge you blindly out of the blue. To go from $0.99 to $171.72 is a huge difference in membership cost! The customer service representatives are horrible: Sam, the supervisor and Amy, the manager of customer service. What a scam this company does to all of its customers! DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER OF CRAFTSY!
I didn't find anything interesting and used it just once. Maybe it is due to the level of the membership (premium). I also find the membership too expensive for what it offers-120,28$! Please be careful of the terms and policies and the fact that the autorenewal is on by default! They do not refund!
I was auto-charged to renew a premium membership that doesn't even start for another week. I cancelled but they won't issue a refund, even though the membership doesn't kick in yet.
This site offers craft ideas, knitting and crocheting classes, and sells yarn. Customer service isn't great and classes are overpriced. Shipping costs are too high and take forever, and they require you to use Facebook. They also require your Facebook friends list, news feed, and anything you make public on Facebook. They do have some good ideas, though.
I got a discount on the membership. I loved the classes. But when the renewal time came I was going to cancel because I did not want to pay $99 because that a little pricey for me.So before the expiration date I decided to cancel. While I was canceling they offered me a $12 membership, great deal right? So I accepted the deal the updated my credit card info. They charged my card $99. Luckily my card blocked it and sent me a text, but now I have to wait for a new card. Customer service said they sent a email (they did not) they said they were taking the $99 the month prior a week before my expiration date from my old card I had on record. I checked my emails there was none. Now I have wait for new credit card because when I updated my card for the $12 renewal it tried to take the $99 instead. All I got was a Sorry. If you want to cancel your subscription do it at lease a month early because they are shady when it comes to the renewal.
Craftsy lures people in by offering a cheap membership charge. I signed up on October 21,2023 against better judgment. Within the week, I cancelled my premium membership because I did not find anything useful on the site and it is not navigable. Craftsy did not send me a verification email that I had cancelled my membership. I have been receiving $97 charges since then for the premium membership. Their representative Joan claims there aren't any notes on my account, verifies that there hasn't been any activity on my account since October 2021, and states they do not issue refunds. Craftsy charges your account without notice. Some people claim the email they received was embedded in lots of scammy marketing emails. I did not receive any notice from Craftsy, not even in my spam or junk folders. Today, I logged into my Craftsy account to cancel the premium membership again. And again they do not send any documentation to verify that the membership is cancelled. I believe they hope people will forget that they cancelled the membership and continue charging the payment you have on file. They do not take prepaid cards for a reason. Do not give them any payment information.
Got charged for a subscription I had no idea I had. Finally got ahold of the company and they refuse even a partial refund for a year subscription I canceled within a month. I never wanted this and now they got 2 years payments since the first one last year slipped my notice. AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. AWFUL
They took money from my account without a proper warning. I nerver received anything and a big 140$ hole in a budget when i do not work (lost my job) is a lot! I ask the customer service, talk to a manager and they have a no refund policy. I didnt even know i suscribe for automatic renewal (probaby small letter in a document). I am so disappointed in them. I like to support those kind of business but this was shady and lacked of transparency. I would not recommend to anyone and i will put this review everywhere because i really think i am not dumb and people wouldn't remember taking a full subscription for 140$ a year. If they refunded me, it would have left me a great impression and i could have talked about it around me instead of giving my first bad review in 35 years of living.
The new Craftsy platform is doing VERY sneaky things behind the scenes with your personal info. I sent them an email with an opportunity to explain but my specific questions regarding personal stored info was never actually answered. Here's what happened.
My husband received an email, at MY personal email address, from Craftsy as if he now owned the account. He has never had anything to do with my Craftsy/ Blueprint account. It's in my name only for years... the stored credit card for payment is in my name only. How would they even know my husband's name? I asked them this very question as well as HOW they could possibly associate this account with his name. They even went so far as to REMOVE my name and change my account to my husband's name. The first email response simply stated Human Error. When pressed for more info such as. How do you even know my husband's name?... ( I send only 1 additional email for a total of two) they will not respond and explain to me HOW it happened. Very very strange. Now I don't trust how they are handling our personal info... names, addresses and payment info. I'm just baffled and would like to just know HOW they obtained names, and who knows what else, of other family household members without them having any connection whatsoever to their website. VERY SUSPICIOUS and they won't explain it. Something is going on with our personal info so be very careful. If they would have just explained how it happened and how they obtained other household members names, info, whatever, I would not have had the need to write this. So like I said watch your info with these new owners.
I purchased a membership hoping I'd have access to videos and crafts but I still have to pay for most projects. Not worth it in my opinion.
Answer: I doubt that, but any time you're not happy, Craftsy offer free US returns.
Answer: In my experience they dispatch the goods by the day after I've ordered them. However, now that they are using DHL it takes longer to receive them, especially since DHL turn the goods over to USPS. I follow tracking whenever there is a tracking number, and it wasn't actually DHL's fault, the goods got to DHL's destination quickly, the slowness was that of USPS taking the order from DHL and delivering it. It takes approximately a week now to cross the country. I suppose it's human nature, especially nowadays, to want everything right now and perhaps sometimes there is a valid urgent need, but I don't think that waiting a week or so should be enough to stop you ordering from a company.
Answer: See if you can instal the ocean browser app. That used to work for me.
Answer: Try installing the ocean browser app. That used to work for me.
Answer: I can't play them on my kindle fire either. I used to be able to by using the ocean browser app but something changed and it wouldn't work any more. In fact, I can't even get any appd to instal any more, and amazon's support have been useless. You could try installing the ocean browser. I would never get another kindle fire or any other amazon product. I use my laptop hooked up to the tv.
