I joined Coinbase in May 2021, and since then, it's been one issue after another. I lost a significant amount of USDT around November due to a scam that the company failed to prevent. I never shared my seed phrase, nor did I willingly disclose it. So how did my wallet get emptied? The worst part is that their support team never acknowledged the issue or attempted to help. My account was compromised weeks ago, and I have been struggling with ineffective support via email. Phone support is unavailable, and the chat is just a basic bot. I thought coinbase was legit, but they took $7,785 and ran. It's been weeks with no communication. Their customer service is a joke. I'm beyond frustrated and feel so cheated. Avoid this site at all costs if you don't want to lose your money.

When my wallet was compromised, they did little to help me recover the money that was in there. It took long to even get a customer representative that listened to me. Only Dctline [com] was able to resolve my case.

After over 15 years I am leaving Coinbase due to their "system" holding all of my deposits for 7 days. I have never had a bad deposit, use the same bank, same account and now I have all deposits held. Support is a joke and takes hours to get a live person. Support is useless as they copy as paste reply's from the website. Takes them 3-4 minutes to reply to every question I have. The oldest scam in the book, use customers deposits to make money their funds are on hold. Support has no answer as to why the "system" flags every deposit I make as a risk.

The only thing I use Coinbase for is to deposit and transfer crypto between exchanges and I cash it out on Coinbase for fiat to bank account. Other than that avoid purchasing and converting crypto on their platform as they will stiff you very bad. Trust me I found out the hard way when I entered the CRYPTO realm. Ask yourself this question? How do you think they amassed a $300 billion Empire? In what manner was that money derived or obtained? Well I'm sure most people get the picture.

Overall, Coinbase is reliable but there is room for improvement.
For example, instant buying through cards don't go throw 9/10 times so you have to use bank transfer which can take 1-3 days and by then the Coin prices have changed. Another downside is that they didn't actually pay out the "refer a friend" bonus. The referred friend got his bonus though so at least it's something...
For people who are just getting started, Coinbase is a trusted exchange and despite the limited Coins offered at least you get a good start without getting ripped off.

Don't expect to receive any of the advertised incentives for signing up or ID verification, user agreement fine print states they can not credit the incentives to you (even after email verification that you will receive it) without any notice as to why. Every attempt to contact customer service is just responded to with a computer generated response that does not help resolve any issues you have. Functions of a crypto exchange work fine but poor customer service results in only 3star rating from me.

They're a superstar in the digital currency landscape. I think they had some trouble scaling initially and many customer support requests were missed but they seem to have gotten better. And they made a great decision recently by focusing their staff on work, not politics, and offering a major severance pay to workers who only wanted to focus on politics. Great move to cut the problem employees from their team. I sense a bright future for them so long as the legal landscape for digital currency isn't a question mark.

It is a very simple and easy to use platform for buying, converting and transferring some crypto currencies. I personally never had a problem using coinbase but I have heard of people saying they did. Too me it's one of the more trustworthy platforms.

Lately though when I go to buy or sell my crypto I've noticed that the price isn't what is shown on their website. So, say I wanted to sell my crypto for $2 a share I go to sell it: the fee is $2.99 plus they only give me 1.96 per share. That means I lost. 04 cents a share. Granted you could say well the price changed while I went to sell it... okay here's the thing; they lock in the price at the time of your sale. This has happened several times so this isn't a one-off. Yesterday I pulled all of my crypto out. I think for awhile I am going to give crypto a rest.
