This service is really direct to the point. They gave the right information of the person I am finding. -very satisfied with the results Ive gotten. Customer service was excellent as well. - Very responsive & courteous. Ill definitely use Checkthem again for my information gathering.
The "close account" button doesn't work, there is no email address, no matter what the replies say here. Which means they lied, twice, already. Which means the telephone number cannot be trusted. And I have to close out my bank card.
They didn't make it clear when the trial starts. I tried calling them over the weekend but found they were closed. I called today, they won't refund me. They charged me $39.27. Which i can't afford! I called my CC company. I have to wait until it's out of pending status and then my CC company will file a claim and I'll get my money back.

BEWARE These people have a shadow website that does NOT readily and obviously disclose the terms of the trial agreement. To wit: They charge $2.99 for a trial without fully disclosing the terms of the trial in an obvious way and then want to charge you another $4.75 to see what they come up with. After five days they charged me $44+ dollars for a subscriptions, which I cancelled but they will not refund my money. Their advertising and website, not the same one I went to originally BTW, is bogus at best.

Seems so funny how this business gets ONLY 1-star or 5-star reviews... guess you can tell which ones are from real customers and which ones are listed by company hacks! Stay away from this rip-off service, they are nothing but a bunch of vultures scamming good, hard-working people. I hope people like that burn in hell!
The best background checker site Ive ever used. Very helpful on tracking some information that you needed to know about the company you deal with. - to identify, if its legit or not. Get all the information that I needed in a fair price. Money, worth it! I'll definitely use them again & again and recommend it to others.
It was extremely helpful and got exactly the necessary information I needed. They were able to find out things that other sites cannot. I hope it doesn't change. I would recommend their site to anyone looking to gather precise info.
Although some of the info. Was accurate, more of it was inaccurate and left out some MAJOR details like, current marriages and existing businesses. Other, basic information that was left out included the location of the individual... and I'm fairly certain they didn't just evaporate into thin air! Also I tried calling them repeatedly, but each time after about a 5 min. Wait, the call was disconnected. Huge waste of my time.
Unlimited background checks for is a good deal, especially for those that need to run multiple reports. The data is similar to public record services that attorneys use (I am one). It's available for cheaper than the big data provides. I'm happy with my purchase.
Scam will end up charging more before your trial is even up. There is no one who will refund your money. I ended up having to cancel my card. Please don't fall for this. Ironic that this website is a website based on checking up on people or things when we really should have checked up on them.

Barely any information was revealed. I started with the $2.95 background check and then paid $4.95 to purchase "additional" information Checkthem stated was there and received no additional info.
SCAM! You do the $1 trial. You see that there is nothing that could have been found with a google search. Most of the information provided was not even correct. You click on the close account button. You email customer service. You call and cancel - all within the 5 day trial window. Then, your card is charged $45. No one can be reached via phone. You check the BBB and see that you should have checked there first, because the site is a scam. BEWARE!
And, the bank charges a visa foreign fee, so now I am concerned my info will be everywhere.
I could have found more information searching social media. Attempted to cancel the account on the night that I opened the account using the website and received multiple error messages. Sat on hold for quite some time when I called in and received a rude, obnoxious representative to assist me with the call. He was impatient and appeared to have a problem with me inquiring about confirmation for the account being closed, voicing my feedback about the error when attempting to cancel via the website, and having him wait to ensure I had a record of the charge on my bank statement. Needless to say, I had to get extremely assertive with him to remind him that since it has passed the 5 day trial period, I am a paying customer and he is there to assist me with my questions.
Signed up during a one-time offer for $1.99 on a Wednesday. That Monday, I'm getting charged $39.27. They didn't make it clear this was a five-day trial and that I would be getting charged a monthly subscription rate after that (which turns out to be higher than the posted monthly subscription). Tried canceling immediately on Wednesday, but the office was already closed (they don't have online support). Had to work Thursday and Friday, and their office was closed Saturday and Sunday. Monday night, I saw the second transaction. Called Tuesday morning. No supervisor or manager to speak to AT ALL. The representative was rude, argumentative, and refused to issue a refund. I also think it's absurd that anyone can pay $2 to get your private information, yet you have to pay over 10 times that much to have yourself removed from their system.
Extremely Disappointed. Total Scam. The info in the "extended" search was exactly the same info that was publicly available. The Trial period is 5 days then they nail you for 44.85 per month to have an account that is worthless. Avoid the scammers at all cost!
Hi David. The extended search is for bankruptcies/liens. If your search subject does not have a bankruptcy or lien, you will not see additional information. This is a good thing, but unfortunately can make it seem like the search is "exactly the same info". Please contact us and I'll take care that extended search.
Sign up for a one time search, only a few dollars. Tried cancelling the account and would never confirm the cancellation. Could never get through to customer service. Didn't even get through the 5 day trial period and they charged me $44! BEWARE!
I essentially echo all other posts. Information was nothing more than what a google search would show, and some was even inaccurate. Also got scammed for a month when i signed up for a trial because i could not cancel my account on-line. Customer service no help and attitude.
Ordered a trail account went to cancel it which via the website and it would not cancel it. Called them on the 5th day they still charged me for over 40 dollars after being disconnected 3 times talked to someone who did not do anything for me. I have not used this service after the first day and they make it so you can not cancel the membership until after they charge you.
This free trial for 5 days is a scam!
I attempted to cancel numerous times during the trial but could not get through on the site.
Then, when I did cancel on the 5th day, they said "no, no you missed this by 1 day", "too bad"
The thing is, the information they provided for the one search I did was not even thorough. And then I got charged nearly $50 dollars for that.
This is a site you need to avoid like the plague!
