I used to love their stores. One line version... horrible. Worst customer service ever. Clothes are very cheaply made. Not the same quality they had in store. They come with seams not sewed, cheaper material, elastic bands crimped. Their return policy is crazy. You must pay $9.95 to ship back to them if you want a refund made to your original form of purchase. Customer service is rude. Look at the reviews on their Facebook page under community. Terrible company.
Orders not being processed, much less shipped, after 2 weeks; order placed and not showing up in account even after several days; 70 minutes on the phone today trying to sort out when my orders will ship ended up with being transferred back into the queue after being told there was an issue with "credit." This is bs as I paid with a debit card and it still hasn't made it's way to my bank account, in which there is more than ample money to cover the expense. But wait, the same debit card has been used time and again by Catherine's with no problem. So, the transfer back to the phone queue was clearly to get me off the phone because no one knows what the hell they're doing. I've been a Catherine's customer, in-store and online, for many years - 15? Up to now, my experiences were always very satisfying. No more money for them now!
Not sure why they can't offer a coupon code when calling in to place an order, without an email or book. You would think they didn't want to lose the business, but I guess not. I'll take my money somewhere else.
Do NOT buy from this company! Bought a skirt for $36.00 that didn't fit, they charged me $10.99 shipping to get it and charged me another $10.99 to return it! Offered me a lousy $14.00 refund! What kind of customer service is that?! I will NEVER order from them again!
Wrong items included with shipment. FedEx showed the shipment sitting in a location 10 minutes from my home for 5 days. It arrived today. Said it shipped on 9/6. Attempted to get in touch with customer service. In a time where service is so important, the company has apparently made it a strategy to NOT deal with customer issues. To add insult to injury, they're charging $10.99 to do the return or I have to take a ecard. Why would I want that when I'd have to go through it again. Wish I'd read the reviews here before I purchased. Nope. This is a one and done experience where I'm 11 bucks in the hole.
Every time I trust one of their "amazing" sales (like 40% off entire store!) I go in and out of 6 completely different things none of them are on sale. They are ALL "Perfect Price" Crap. Also, the coupons only work on a very select few items and for only a percentage of what they are supposed to be taking off. I'm done shopping there and with me goes 8-10 women who used to only shop there. Done.

If I could give my review zero Stars I would have. I placed an online order and received multiple emails all of my items are on backorder. The same day I received those emails they charged my credit card. I contacted customer service six times in one day and was hung up on five times because they were more interested in getting my email address, which they should have already had, than attempting to help me figure out what was going on with my order. I have never experienced anything like this and I order online often. Buyer beware! Do not order from this company!
They sent the wrong item to me. The chat function is not working and the two phone numbers listed say that they are not taking phone calls at this time. Are they filing for bankruptcy? Why is there no way to contact them? Terrible customer service. I also do not like that the website for them now is run together with many different companies so that when you search for a Catherines item you get items from all the other companies as well. I will no longer be ordering from them. Too bad because I always liked their clothing.
I closed my account and my final Payment was processed 3 days after due date. Today I get a call that I owe 50+ dollars for late fees. This was never mentioned when calling my account over a week ago. The customer service supervisor was rude. Not to mention the clothes are poor quality which is why I closed my card. The past few times I have bought clothes they have ripped after one time wearing them. Will never shop there again.
So I just called to cancel an order and the pre-recorded message said there is no one available to take my call and to try again later. I called back and picked the option for new orders and somebody answered right away. I was told I cannot cancel my order because it is already in progress. I did not know that the stores have closed down or else I would have never placed this order. I like to know that there's a store I can return stuff to. I'm not happy about the shipping charges either. No option for free shipping if you purchase a certain amount. After reading the other reviews, I don't expect to ever receive my items. Lesson learned.
Bought a sweater. Never worn, returned it to Catherines in person. Catherines refused a refund. Ditto for 2 pairs of pants. Won't be doing any more shopping at Catherines. Poor quality, more expensive than Amazon, Costco, Walmart Target.
I returned two jackets within days of getting the second (they were ordered together but one came later). One was too big and the other was not the right color so I put them back in their bags and returned them with their own label that they provided. I requested exchange with smaller size/different color. Well, I got a package today and they had returned the same jackets I'd returned to them with note saying it had taken too long! It took a long time for the packages to come, which was a USPS problem I believe, and evidently a long time to get back to them. I've never heard of a store that will not exchange for another size or color or a store credit. What am I supposed to do with wrong size jackets that I won't wear? I'll never shop with them again, ever. Don't waste your money.
I purchase two swimsuits from Catherine's. They sent a huge size pair of capri's that I DID NOT order! I have called the company 5 times, Was on hold twice for 30 minutes, once for an hour and 15 minutes and was actually hung up on at one point. I have emailed twice. They have yet to respond! Their customer service is awful. They deserve negative stars. I will probably never receive the swim top I ordered or will not be reimbursed because they will not answer the phone or emails! I wished I had read reviews prior to ordering! Save yourself time and money! Do NOT order!
Very slow shipping. I had to return all merchandise due to not fitting properly. Everything runs extremely large. When the items were returned, they did not give me a full refund. A month later I was charged a $18 fee. When I called to inquire about this charge they said it was their monthly fee for their rewards program that I did not sign up for. RIDICULOUS!
If you want a so-called discount, you have to agree to get daily ads online from over a dozen of their stores. I withdrew the permission and have blocked them, but they keep coming.
As for my order of New Balance sneakers, they arrived loose in a carton, taking almost two weeks to arrive. I just called them to please send me the actual box the shoes come in, because that's how I store my shoes. They said they can't do that and I would have to return my shoes and order another pair. Then maybe I could get a box for the shoes. They are out of my size, so how could I do that?
I will never use this company again and can only warn others not to. The aggravation isn't worth it. They just don't seem to care about anything but advertising all of their other online stores.
I have shopped at Catherine's for years with great satisfaction. When they were taken over everything seemed to be going well. The last month it is completely different. I would always get my ordered in less than 3 weeks. This last order, however, has not even been shipped in more than 3 weeks. I tried calling several times and could not get through without a long wait. Then I tried chat several times and would get error messages they were too busy. A few days later the chat is no longer available. I finally set a day aside that I was going to call and just wait however long I need to. It was an hour and a half. When I finally get through that just read the disclaimer and have no answers at all. I am not sure I will be going back.
If I could I would not give any stars. Please do not buy anything at Catherines. Especially if you use their Credit Card Company Comenity Bank. Catherines will not send you your first statement on purpose because Comenity Bank gets to apply a fee of $30 and interest. So both of them make money doing this.
I was sent and charged twice for an order. They refunded the amount of the items, but not the shipping and handling. After many calls and emails, I am about done dealing with them.
I used to shop in the stores, but since they went only online, and merged with other companies, the products don't fit, customer service is a nightmare, and shipping and handling is exorbitant. I requested at least five times to be taken off the mailing list, but the emails won't stop.
Finding a store for big women that isn't associated with Catherine's won't be easy, but I'm determined not to shop there again.
Don't waste your money with this company. Brought a $34.99 bra, terrible quality, off-sized by A LOT. It was supposed to arrive in about seven business days. It took two months to get the item. So, it costs $10.99 to ship and $10.99 to "process" the return of their crappy merchandise. That's $56.97 for an opportunity to purchase a poorly sized, very poor quality item. How they plan to stay in business with this business plan is beyond me. And to top it off, customer service is extremely rude.
I purchased items on 8/21. I paid for express shipping. On 8/23 their site said shipped. Customer service
was unable to give me a tracking number. Finally on 9/2 there was a tracking number on the site. UPS however only said a label was created. This continued until 9/5 when I called customer service. No help at all. They were so rude I hung up. Now, 9/8 I still do not have the items. I will be filing a complaint with my credit card company.
