I had accounts in the past or currently have accounts in the following banks, Chase, Capital One, Key, Wells Fargo, TD, M&T, City, Apple, Discover Bank, Green Dot, MVB, Charle Schwab.
And the bank I am using the most, and happy with is Capital One Bank, for checking and even for credit cards!
My credit card was due on the 22nd. On the 20th around midnight I submitted the payment of $119.00. Monday, the 22nd the payment posted to my bank account. Unfortunately my wife suffers scoliosis with a 68 degree curve in the backbone and is unable to take a job. She and I raised her blood grandchidren fo 10 years. I'm Pa by love and GOD. Today another payment of $119.00 went through my bank leaving $1.87 until I get paid. I spoke to the top of customer service. I didn't submit 2 separate payments. It was an error due to time submitted at midnight. The heartless empty vessel company would not return the second payment until waiting 7 business days and then 7 to 10 business days after explaining money needed to go to a specialist visit 100 miles away with $1.87 to spend. I could chrge to that credit card but only until that company reaps what they do to real, honest, good people no way. When Kate and the company she represented has to request something some entity or person gives them the answer I got would the reality face them. May God forgive them. I'm going to try but when I make my final payment to them may the $$$$$$$ credit card company go broke! Use any company even if the apr is higher, you will be glad you made the best decision for you. Unfortunately, heartless, empty vessel of a conscience, wolves, beware!
When I looked at my credit one day and noticed that I have not applied for any cards for few years and had 0 inquiries on my report, I decided to give a chance to Cap1 Venture since I did not had any personal Cap1 cards in my wallet. My FICO score floating around 830 all the time, income $250k/year, my lowest credit card limit is 15k, highest 80k. And when I received approval letter from Cap1 I was simply shocked! It was an insult and biggest slap in the face that I had within last 15-20 years! "Congratulations with your new car and your new credit limit of $500!". Yes, you heard it right! $500. I immediately called in, and closed the account, they still sent me new card. I called in to ask why are you sending me a card on a closed account? Customer service rep did not had an answer. She said it was probably automatic system. Well, seems like they have plenty of money to waste by sending customers cards who has closed account previously. So guess what? It will definitely not happening again in this lifetime. Never again, thank you Capital one for being the most generous credit card company ever!
Purchase a airline ticket from a horrible site called travelation which i used capital one to pay for it only to find out that the ticket was wrong purchase i called capital one to cancel this purchase from the merchant, also i called the travelation site to be pushed around by some call center from overseas and asked for confirmation number which they could not gave me after 2 hrs of purchasing. Capital one was very terrible in trying to solve my problem which i explain your card card was made for the purchase it should be protected as you claim. After several attempts which i submit documents and explaination they still could not solve the issue, they send me links for upload my documents which many times failed to open from capital one. I would not use this company for any more purchase in the future i will pay them off and close this account forever. And use another company to do my purchases. Lose $400, and you never make anymore money in interest from myself also auto loan is terrible customers service is horrible if you get tru from robotics call. Mr badley
Capital one is one of my bank accounts that I use just for emergency money or to save for big purchases. I always liked not being able to spend my money. That's how I use to use ING (I miss them.)
I deposited a check into capital. Unknown to me before it had cleared the owner of the account (the check was written on) had suspicious activity and closed their account. They opened a new account and had to write me a new check.
During this time Capital1 decided the check was fraude, they never called me and closed my account. They informed me because they closed the account I can never reopen a bank account with them. To add insult to injury they use an off-shore company to speak to me. The specialist that I had was condescending and told me my account is closed and nothing is going to change that. When I asked why I didn't get a phone call, I was reprimanded and was told I am not allowed to question the policies of capital one and nor are they.
This is crazy because there was no fraud just a returned check from an inactive bank account. Ps. It's a mobile deposit they didn't even have to take time to mail a check. It wasn't my fault and now I am band.
Save yourself time and headaches! There are so many better bank options… stay away from Capital1.
Don't make any payments to your credit card over $40 or they'll hold that payment "so your bank can process it" for 5-10 days. All of my accounts used to be with them so all payments to my cap 1 credit card were coming from a cap 1 checking account. Also had my auto loan through them which had a ridiculous interest rate. Refinanced and got the heck out of that money trap. Had a cap 1 credit card for 7 years with a credit score that rose above 650 but never had a credit limit increase despite inquiring about it (and had excellent history of on-time payments). Had fraud on my debit card inked to checking and requested a new debit card. Took them 10 days to mail it to me so the only card I had was my credit card. Had to continually make small payments to it so that I could use the credit card to pay my bills. Any payments over $40 were immediately out on hold. When I finally received my new debit card and it didn't work. Even the customer service rep could not get it activated so they had to send me a new one. I couldn't access my own money on my checking account for lack of debit card nor could I access my funds via my credit card bc they put holds on any payments made to it. I had ZERO access to my money over the holidays and almost had my car insurance policy cancelled bc of these f*cks. Do not do business with them. They are absolutely criminal.
If there was a chance to leave a zero as a star, I would do so. I recently had the worst experience ever with this card when there was a fraudulent charge from an airline on my card. They themselves were unable to obtain clarity or resolution on the issue but then demanded that I provide a document that they could not get themselves. All I got from HOURS on the phone was the same dead pan, dead end, answer that I needed to provide a document. When I asked them a zillion time, how do you want me to get it when you can't get it yourselves, I was just met with the same frustrating line "Sir, you must provide this document." It was MADDENING, frustrating, disgusting customer service and sooooo disappointing. My other credit cards have always jumped to help me when there has been an issue. I truly regret using this card for my purchase and will cancel the card, even though that will end up hurting my credit score, which is in the 800s. I just can't imagine ever giving business to this company again. When I asked that they please at the very least hold off on putting-this charge back on my account while I investigate on my own, they refused. Horrible, horrible service and I hope that if you have read this far that this will be enough to deter you from ever signing up with Capital One.
Capital One is practicing the Bate and Switch tactic on it's Quick Silver credit card. Initially the rate is 0%, that's the BATE. The interest rate is now 30.24%, that's the SWITCH!
I just spent two hours on the phone being transferred from line to line, from Capital One credit card specialists to Capital One Travel specialists that only handle trips before 2022, to Capital One Travel specialists that handle accounts 2022 and onward. I hung up with Capital One and called Visa Signature who transferred me back to a Capital One credit card specialist, then back to a Capital One travel specialist. I finally got on the phone with a supervisor at Capital One who told me I would have to wait 44 days for a paper receipt for a business receipt which probably still wouldn't have the correct information on it. All of this to try to get an itemized business receipt for a flight that was canceled in reference to my personal Venture card which no one could provide to me, at all. I am NOT happy with Capital One.
Closed my account with no good reason AND WIRTHOUT PRIOR NOTICIFICATION. I had 6000 in unsed rewards that they stole from me because the account was closed. When calling customer service all they said was that they can chose to close at anytime. THEIF AND SCAM ARTISTS.
I moved from a brick and mortar bank to Capital One
Best decision I ever made. Wonderful customer service. I even refinanced my car loan and I am saving tons
Thanks Capital One
I put money in Capital One savings, but later I couldn't access my account. I called them from my house and they said they sent me a code (my house phone #) I told them I couldn't get a text on my house phone. I told them to send it to my cell phone, they said they couldn't send it to my cell because it wasn't on file. I had given them my name, Account#, SS #, and 2 other Capital One accounts. After 2 hours I got a code # on my cell phone, I told him I had the number, and he said read the message, I told him it was only a number, NO MESSAGE. I told him repeatedly NO MESSAGE, he insisted so I hung up. Now when I try to add my wife to my account, I CAN'T BECAUSE NONE OF MY PHONE NUMBERS ARE ON FILE.
My husband died 6 months ago and left me some money to purchase a home. I placed the money in a CD account with Capital One. When I found my house to buy I let Capital One know I would close the CD, open a checking account to place the money. On a Friday I called Capital One with the Wire Transfer information for the Closing. I was told that it was to late for a Wire Transfer so I was instructed to call back on Monday before my Closing time. I followed those instructions. When I called for the Wire Transfer, Capital One REFUSED to send the money. They stated I had to have a checking account 60 days before I could wire transfer from there. I explained that not once out of all the calls I made previously was that explained to me. I reminded them I was in a closing and would be Homeless should the sale not go through. I was told they won't help me. I asked to speak with a manager and was told I was talking to the highest person. I doubt that. I hade to go to the Capital One web site and send a cashier's check to me, pay for it to be overnight. I now have to wait for that check to clear before PNC can transfer the funds. The Title Company can only accept Wire Transfer.
Being a Widow is hard enough. I am also a Senior Citizen. Capital One made this extremely difficult for absolutely no good reason. Plus they left me HOMELESS.
Horrible customer service just horrible.
Alleana /AZD22A is such a bad person in costume service I always have bad experiences with capital one
Secondly Jasmin/ cho654 she is trying to cover her coworker and doesn't care about customer is revoking services or not please don't trying to get capital one ever
Do not trust tis company, they lie and and literally mock you while you're trying to get help. This place is unethical!
This company let me set up a card and then roadblocked me by saying they could not verify my identity... They have my Drivers license, my address, my phone number, and my social security number! They even require I give the last 4 of my SSN to get to customer service, and yet they can't verify my identity?!? Frauds the whole lot of them. DO NOT GET ANYTHING THROUGH CAPTAL ONE!
My balance on my credit card was $1,500. And due on 1-4-2024. I paid $1,000.00 from one of my bank accounts at that time C1 locked my online bank not allowing me to pay the remaining $500.00 When I finally got a C1 employee on the phone I was told that, I didn't have to make a payment because my min was paid, I then explained to the lady that I paid my bills in full. She then unlocked my account, and I then paid the remaing 500.00 and the lady from c1 said she would note my account. C1 charged me a $10.26 interesest charge because, their online banking is set up to glitch and charge you money, steal money from you. I don't pay interest or carry a balance on my credit cards, my history reflects that, and C1 knows this. C1 is such a crooked bank, this past summer, 2023 they contacted my bank 1st citizens to varify that, the bank account that, I made my credit card payment from was mine, I had to contact the bank via 3 way call. This was very disrespectful and embarrassing. C1 has a very uncommon practice and the people they hire are not at all professional. In my opinion C1 needs to be investigated and its customer service overhauled
They robbed me their dirty crooks legally do not sogn up for credit cards they arent ur friends they will rob u blind if ur tuff a month sticknit out do not succumb
A total bunch of crooks.
Should be flogged at dawn call staff rude disrespectful bully. Threaten a 70 year old disabled lady over the phone
Don't ever think this company will help your credit, it's completely the opposite because your card has dozens of fraudulent attempts on it
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
Answer: From my experience, they appear to be nothing but a shady scam bank.
Answer: They offered nice rewards back It sounded more impressive than it is. Big mistake.
Answer: This is the same issue I'm having with Capital One. They make mistakes and then drag their feet and act like nothing is wrong.
