If you're anything like me, you like your website images and Facebook images to look professionally designed. The only problem is we're not designers! For the design enthusiasts in the house, Canva is the perfect solution.
Canva is a new design tool for the lay person. That means that with little to no design skill you can create a masterpiece – and it's 100% online, accessible anywhere. What I love the most about this website is that it sets you up for success. It provides everything you need: layouts, image containers, images (free and paid), banners, trendy fonts, and the ability to upload your own images.
The only con, if there is one, is that the site is still in beta release. I've experienced improper loading and longer than normal "save" times. The benefit of beta is that Canva is very open to feedback. I have submitted feedback about including more user templates and not only did they respond quickly, they implemented my suggestions within days. Now, that's customer service!
Pros: Look like a pro with LITTLE effort, free (unless you use a paid image), easy to use templates, exports image directly to your computer.
I have been using Canva for the last 3 months and it is amazing. It is user friendly. Even if you are beginner in graphic designing I would recommend to use Canva.
I wrote customer service and they agreed that the quality of the business cards was poor. Then two days later they closed the case without issuing a refund and asked that I start a new request.
Collage poster looked good and arrived as requested. But so difficult to cancel the subscription! I wrote to the company three times and maybe this time it will finally be canceled.
I used Canva for years before and i really liked it, so i wanted to try the Pro version. I used for some month but i didnt use that much so i cancelled my subsription. Few days ago, i wanted to create a template and i wanted to use an icon on the site so i said ok why not another month of Pro. Then i got a facture of 215 euros! I was charged for one year for which i never ever gave my consent, me and another person in my "team" which i never had either... They took my money so quickly that i didnt even realise until i openned my e-mail account. Of course i cancelled the subsription immediately, but you can't until the end of the year, since then i try to contact the customer support, but they just dont respond me. It's so disgusting. If you really want to use these kind of plateformes try Illustrator and PPT it's much much better (and cheaper as well)
Start it out to seem to be a good company to work with until I got my second order of business cards and my complete phone number was not on the bottom I repeatedly have sent out probably 10 emails that I keep receiving back from people telling me that I haven't given them enough information I've given them my order ID number they have my name they have my email address they have my phone number they have my company name I even sent them my invoice and they still tell me that they cannot look up my order wouldn't do business with this company stay away better to pay the money to go with a good company
Full of glitches, and there is absolutely NO customer service. I attempted to contact Canva twice, and asked to be followed up with... I am still waiting!
Canva charged me A THOUSAND DOLLARS for a yearly subscription that I did not sign up to. I signed up for the free trial only and they have charged me this amount. I am literally in tears as this is all of my savings. DO NOT USE CANVA they are frauds.
The free version of this account works well if you want to create a simple piece of artwork, but to access the extra features you will need to sign up to a contract using your bank details. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BANK DETAILS. Canva will tell you that you can cancel anytime before your first month is charged and will even send you an email to tell you that your subscription has been cancelled, but they will debit your account nevertheless. There appears to be no way to contact the company to discuss this, leaving me to have to report the charge to my bank as an unauthorized transaction.
THIEVES will take your $120 for a supposedly FREE 30 day trial at CANVA.COM
DO NOT, REPEAT, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR 30 Free TRIAL for CANVA.COM Pro unless you want to give them $120 USD and get nothing for it. THEY ARE THIEVES AND HAVE BEEN RIPPING OFF MANY INNOCENT GULLIBLE CUSTOMERS WITH THIS FREE TRIAL SCAM! STAY AWAY FROM CANVA.COM
I ended up taking to Twitter to try and find help after googling to no end for company customer service.
I was locked out of my account, which is used for professional purposes and was hoping I could simply have the password reset sent to an alternative email because the spam filter was extremely strong. I get it, not Canva's fault that I've got a fortress inbox. BUT, I could only get a response between 2-4am irrespective of when I reached out and always with at least 24 hours in between replies, until they just stop responding all together.
I sent a detailed message explaining everything I had tried and asked if they could just try an alternate address, I would do whatever they needed for me to verify this was the appropriate account owner. I got a response (again in the dead of night) saying they'd resent the password reset email to the same account I'd already tried resetting it with 100+ times. I've followed up repeatedly and gotten literally nothing back.
At my wits end and feel like I'm just screaming into the void. The quality of the platform doesn't matter any longer because I can't risk tying my business to a company with ZERO customer service. There are too man risks, like now, where I'm locked out and lose access to branding material
I purchased a PRO ACCOUNT IN FEB 23,2021 SO I LOST MY pro ACCOUNT AND MOST OF MY POST ARE GONE. I have written so many emails concerning this situation that this is incredible. THESE ARE ONLY SOME OF THE COMMENTS THAT I HAVE RECEIVED IN THE EMAILS
-Your Canva account has been restored (NOT TRUE)
-Please bear with us for any delays. Looking forward to resolving your -concern shortly.
-Your account is scheduled to be deleted
You've logged into your Canva account. This means your account has been restored and is no longer scheduled to be deleted.
I am so surprise at the terrible customer service that your company has, did not expect this. I just wrote another letter with all the detail and I just received and email "No Replay Canva.
Over charged over and over again. Each time you attempt to use this site they charge $10 sometimes twice for the same image. Absolutel rip off! DO NOT USE
This program offers a free trial and they don't honor the cancellation. I got hit with a 119 bill DURING THE COVID 19 CRISIS when we needed that money! I've reported them to the federal trade commission and I encourage others to do the same! We need to stop them from taking advantage of people! DO NOT USE THIS PROGRAM!
I signed up for the Canva Pro subscription and paid for a year to get the savings, as someone I knew directed me to this website. After confirming they had received my payment I have none nothing but send emails back and forth through their chat and email support. I still cannot access the Pro features in my account. Support says I am in the Photo subscription! However, there is no link or icon indicating they even have a Photo subscription. The only upgrade link is for the Canva Pro subscription. Which I clicked on and followed the steps within that page. IF there was a photo subscription option, wouldn't you think support would simply switch my account over! Well after a full week and still nothing resolved, I had to dispute the payment and am now having them fight this for me. Please save yourself the hassles of losing your money and not getting the subscription you select. Their support people are the worst! And if you cancel your subscription, they will not give you any money back either, but only let the subscription expire and won't renew. They just want to keep all of your money no matter what.
PS
Wish there was an option to add a. Pdf below, but there wasn't and I didn't want to take a photo of my canva account with my personal information and email in it.
You can't share with others and you can't add google drawings to canva.
You could get free pictures by copying and pasting from google.
Not worth even going on canva. Go do something else.
It takes several seconds (sometimes 10) to respond. It makes me frustrated. I have started my project with Canva, so i want to finish it, but it haven't been working that good so far.
The reason I gave it a one-star rating is due to the fact that when I try signing up, the buttons on the home page do not work, therefore I can't even so much as provide an email address.
Items that clearly state they are free, and no, they are not free. You have to pay the credit. Then fight the rude customer service people to get your money back! Con artists through and through.
I cancelled my canva pro account and 1 month later they billed me again. Im filling a dispute for fraud with these low lifes. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Canva sucks anyway 0 creativity options.
Answer: That was one of my issues. No active link to cancel the free trial subscription.
Answer: There is zero support. Until they do something about it, don't begin with them. Try Snappa instead.
