There used to be Bebe stores in Canada, and genuinely loved their clothing and had an event coming up so I figured I would buy online from them. Well, that was a terrible decision and I hope no one else purchases from them in a time crunch. Here's the timeline:
Event date: I fly out Thursday, September 14th, needed by end of day on the 13th. Event is actually on the weekend. I wanted it before I flew.
Order date: Friday September 7th.
I purchased a $150 dress online. I paid express shipping which was an additional $40 (which, thats a ridiculous price anyway for 1 tiny dress). It was coming from the US to Canada but typically i can overnight a small box from Toronto to Cali for around $30 CDN. Express shipping was so it would arrive on the 11th-12th. On the morning of the 11th I got an email saying it just left the facility and that it won't be arriving until the following week. I panicked and called them.
Turns out they shipped it via regular shipping and told me to hold, and immediately sent me an email confirming the shipping refund. In most scenarios that would be fine but it still doesn't help because I needed the dress for a date. Customer service offered zero suggestions except for refunding the express shipping payment ($40). I offered three solutions.
1) I was going to Vegas by the end of the week, I could have the package redirected to make my event. I was told no because they can't re-route a package.
2) I said OK what if we refund the dress and I essentially repurchase it on the website and have it expressed to Vegas? It will take 3-5 days to confirm the refund.
3) Then I said alright then skip the refund, let's just get store credit and I'll order it immediately and choose express shipping again to have it at my destination? They said they don't offer store credit.
They were in a genuine rush to get me off the phone. I'm upset, I didn't even want any discount or anything for free I really just wanted the dress in time without double paying and having to wait for the refund.
Anyway, I gave up and I'm getting a refund once they get the dress back to their facility. Once they re-route it from UPS so it doesn't get to me and goes back to them. Which apparently you can't do.
I will never recommend them to anyone again. Long time customer ruined. Very frustrated.
Please go to bbb.org and file a complaint. File a complain with your state consumer agency and the federal agency ftccomplaintassistant.gov and dispute your credit card charges when they are lying and accusing customers of staining clothes in order to avoid refunds. We need them to be stopped. HORRIBLE
I bought a pair of shoes from them light up shoes my daughter wore them to school and when she tried to charge the left one it wouldn't charge so of course I called BEBE and was told to return the shoes only to be told I cant get a refund nor a new pair of shoes... SO IM OUT OF 100$ N IS STUCK WITH SOME 100$ SHOES THAT DONT WORK... I WOULD NEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVEEEEEERRRRR SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN... CROOKS N THE ONLY REASON IM GIVING THEM 1 STAR IS BECAUSE 0 ISNT AN OPTION...
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I hate that I need to post a bad comment, but tonight I just had THE WORST experience with a purchase I made online from bebe.com. I ordered "Satin & Lace Detail Pants" (100$) and after 8 days I received the pants, but not the ones I ordered. I NEVER EVEN TRIED THEM ON but decided to return them in the store near me and save the $7 return cost. I know $7 is not a lot but I personally was thinking this will be the faster way to get my money back so I could get the pants ordered. Also the option of returning of the pants to the store was listed on the receipt. I WAS TOTALLY WRONG.
When I returned from vacation the pants were received on March 3rd. Exactly the next night my husband tried to return the pants to the store in Burlington mall. He had talked to the lady who said to him the pants are in new and unworn condition but right exactly before they process he realized he did not bring my credit card so they could'd do it. Keep in mind, I had never tried them on previously.
He came back tonight and the lady there said the pants were used and there is white mark inside them and she can't return the money because they are unsellable condition. I will reiterate, this is literally how I received them.
I called the lady in the store who said that she is the manager, but she didn't want to say her full name, just Carissa. After I explained to her that I never tried them on, that this is not the pants that I even wanted to buy, she again said she will not return my money. The day prior, the manager even said that she would've returned them however this other girl Carissa made the situation personal and decided not to return to them. I asked if she thought I am a liar because I clearly said I NEVER PUT THEM ON.
Maybe I was rude, but I refuse to be polite when there is something so inappropriate. As the customer, I purchased the pants from bebe and when they send me a wrong and defective product, I believe I should receive an apology.
This was absolutely terrible experience and its really sad for a good brand like bebe. Because of unprofessional customer service like this at the Burlington mall they lost me as a regular customer. I never will order or buy something again from bebe.
