I've always believed in the Better Business Bureau. But some months ago I bought Orange soda from my local Target store. There was no sell by date, so I contacted the manufacturer. The sell by date was about 3 months earlier. There is NO way that Target should be selling such outdated food.
I made a complaint on BBB.org. It was ignored.
Need I say any more?
Kudos to Chiquis Cleaning Services! Easy to work with and they offer friendly efficient quality service.
I am so glad I decided to use their service because in my opinion, they are the best! Big High Five!
Thank you,
Susan
I had an issue with DirecTV. DTV obviously wasn't going to do the right thing, whatever, but BBB said they made a "good faith effort". Ok, except DTV literally made zero mention of what my issue was about, did not address it at all. When I brought this up to BBB, they sent a letter stating they couldn't help me because it appears to them that the business closed. Seriously BBB? They obviously didn't read my complaint, DTVs response, or look into anything.
RiverRunners Estate Sales conducted a sale of all our house contents in March 2021. From the beginning we knew that we were in good hands. Dennis explained their team's process and our responsibilities. All items were set up beautifully for the sale. Three days of sale were advertised and carried out according to plan. Clean-up was as promised. We were very happy with their work. Ross and Carol
If you have a complaint on a business whether it is online or not, you can go to this website and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
In addition to posting here, which I fully encourage, check out this site. I had a business screw me over once and I contacted them and filed a complaint and I not only got my money back, I got an apology as well. They send correspondence to the business and they're pretty effective.
You can check out a business as well as blog on the consumer blog. Sometimes you gotta get tough and the BBB has been around a long time. Don't settle for noncompliance. Learn how to protect yourself and your rights as a consumer.
I always recommend sitejammer and the BBB to anyone I know who has been badly treated or scammed by a business. Hit em where it hurts, guys.
Last month I was scammed by a company called Depositphotos, they send me an invitation with 15% discount and once I subscribed they blocked me for no reason. I tried to contact them but unfortunately they refused to provide me a refund and they refused to give me any explanation.
After filing with the BBB, I got a full refund and had my issue resolved.
They are too slow but I'm very happy Thanks BBB
I filed a compliant against a dental company on last month and do this day no one has responded back
Requested BBB intervene in refund/replace problem with cspire (cell company). BBB initially investigated, accepted bogus info from cspire as true (despite my written records to the contrary) and refused further action on my part.
Waste of time dealing with BBB.
The idea was great - but the execution kind of sucked, as it often happens. They are supposed to be a serious, well-moderated and respected way to review the business. However, the idea that you can pay to be promoted really ruins the entire site. I've seen $#*!ty sites get accredited and honest businesses get sunk by competitor scam.
There are some pretty awful companies who have O. K. ratings as BBB does them rather than considering consumer input or complaints. Unlike other consumer organizations, they are difficult to communicate with and it isn't clear whether they have or how they have communicated with the business when you have filed a complaint.
I would give it a lower rating if i could. Do not sign up with them. They do not care about you or your business. They only care about the money coming in. I tried to cancel my membership 3 times because these last couple of years have been tough financially, but they talked me in to keeping it. This last time i called even though i said i may be losing my business, they said they needed to get a payment and then they would close it. They weren't sympathetic or caring at all. They just needed more money. I didn't get anything out of them accrediting
me with them. Please save your money. You don't need this scam
I recently purchased tickets to a hockey game with the help of LEIDYS. She was pleasant, attentive, cheerful, professional, and knowledgeable. Many reps. Have helped me in the past and is the reason I will continue to use Vividseats.
BBB essentially does nothing. It allows angry customers that have a valid grievance against a business a means with which to vent their frustration. After you provide the BBB detailed information regarding the business, their location and the nature of the complaint, BBB responds "BBB unable to locate business" and marks the case as "closed". Good work boys. That's some mighty fine work...
They let everyone who is bored to write a review about your business. You try so hard to push forward and one Karen can destroy that so easy. Arent they suppose to investigate first the issue? So in the end they take Karen's side and ruin your reputation and you have no chance to explain yourself. Good job!
First off for $500 ANYONE can get a A+ rating with the better business bureau, so don't think they are out to help anyone but themselves.
I had an issue with a insurance company not covering bills, I reported it to the bbb and if you can't or don't have time to respond within 5 days then they automatically close the case instead of doing anything. They emailed me saying they were going to investigate it more in depth and it would take some time. I did not reply, 5 days later they closed the case. I tried to reopen the same case and they called it invalid because they said its a duplicate case. How would you respond to that kind of email anyways, ok, you go ahead and investigate it further. I'll wait. Wtf.
More like a loop hole for them to not actually do any work. Worthless company!
I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on eBay and of course they contacted eBay as they would do. Of course you already know that this company is powerless to resolve complaints. EBay acted like they were trying to come up with a solution and credited me what I asked for but the credit remained on their site and I could not do anything with it so eBay erased that credit. I responded on BBB.org stating I was dissatisfied with the results and they closed my complaint as resolved. Keep in mind that BBB.org is a company that is paid to rate these corporations so I recommend not using them for any type of complaint of advice.
I love the better business bureau they are very helpful with what they can help you with. They can only do so much but I use the bbb all the time when a problem occurs with someone that tries to rip me off. I file a complaint and it usually gets solved.
Just finished processing a complaint with the BBB. Through direct negotiations with the company I filed a complaint against a settlement was reached independently of the BBB. When I informed them the company met my offer, the next day the BBB agent stated they had been notified of the settlement as if they had done anything. I have an email addressed to me directly, not one from the BBB. They did nothing but process my complaint, contact the company and process my rejection of their first offer. I did get an apology for being late responding to me. You are better off considering the relevant consumer protection laws and filing a claim with the Small Claims Court. One line reviews are permissible as evidence from established, credible web sites The BBB is living in their past when they may have been more than a business themselves. If you are a business owner you can buy a good rating with a membership. For example, https://money.cnn.com/2015/09/30/news/better-business-bureau/index.html
I'm so sick and tired of review sites like the BBB picking and choosing their published reviews, somehow leaving out certain reviews for select companies. How does this continue to happen.
I'm not sure if the BBB does this but I'm ready to find out. I had a tooth murdered by Aspen Dental, so no I don't think they deserve a perfect score anywhere.
Does anyone else have interest in helping start up a class action lawsuit against review sites that accept payment in return for the removal of real reviews. No not those sickening sweet FAKE reviews very unethical dental companies plant online to counteract the thousands of new reviews posted each year. Find us on Facebook under the real ADMI or Aspen Dental Mass Invasion. We are also seeking an attorney to help our cause.
I went to buy a car and the salesman Sam was selling religion and gave my wife and I a bible from his church. He used his religion to lie to us. Nothing he said was true I caught him in so many lies. I bought the vehicle and got the heck out of there.
