If you try Amazon Prime, make sure u cancel it on time.
You've got the opportunity to try it as many times as you want but cancel it straightaway, otherwise you will be automatically charged after a month.
Overall it's ok because as soon as I've called them asking for my money back, they've cancelled the transaction! They really care about their customers!
Have had only had good experiences when purchases have been made directly from Amazon. However I've had some terrible experiences with resellers - like books simply never turning up.
Amazon washed their hands of any responsibility, no even responding to feedback about dodgy retailers. Beware!
In a fast-paced world where everything and everyone is moving at or near the speed of light, we often get caught up in the brain chatter that tends to obstruct what is truly important to us: being in the moment and attracting into our lives the forces of positivity that can propel us forward. Are you thinking of that last board meeting, the accuracy of a spreadsheet, or the next appointment with your boss? Are you distracted by your cell phone, tablet, e-mails or faxes? If so, there's a place for you.
Got asked to leave a review of a product which didn't work. I gave an honest review but left good feedback for the seller. They didn't like the review and as a result my account got suspended. Over just 1 2 star review.
I still like Amazon though, parcels get delivered fine with no issues.
The Amazon Marketplace is good, however alot of us fail to understand that there are 3rd party sellers who provide the service/ product via the Amazon Platform. They put in the hard work and Amazon takes the credit/ commision. However apart from that Amazon do have good prices but ship very slowly when opting for the 'free delivery' option unlike if you purchase from the 3rd party seller who usually despatch within 2 days. Overall the buying experience is good and quick however prices are cheaper outside amazon by the sellers who sell on their own sites so shop around!
Beware when Amazon have your credit card details when ordering single items from time to time, and don't use Prime, twice I have noticed on my bank statement they have taken £7.99 from my account. For Prime I don't use so keep your eyes on your account you may have been charged unknown to you.
Now let down by couriers consistent "Delivered / signed for by me" but nothing received (we are wasting SO much time chasing things that have simply disappeared / no human contact anymore - almost impossible to know if an order will arrive / frustrating - used to be near Perfect!
Amazon can be a great company to deal with, although often exactly the same items can be found much cheaper on eBay, and with free delivery. Also, it is very difficult to speak to them on the phone. Our main problem with Amazon is their returns policy. Twice in the last three weeks, we have bought large items (a bathroom unit and a cooker) from Amazon, but have had to return them due to being faulty or parts missing. The bathroom unit had two vital pieces missing, but all Amazon could offer was a partial refund and keep the unit or a full refund if we sent the item back. They couldn't just supply the two missing parts! The cooker was faulty when it arrived (and was the wrong cooker!), but Amazon couldn't just arrange for a new one to be delivered and the faulty one to be picked up at the same time. We have had to buy another one (£700), wait in all day for that one to be delivered, and now have to wait for the faulty one to be collected in a weeks time and then several more days for a refund! So that's extra money we have to find and take three days off work waiting for the delivery/collections! We won't be buying large items from Amazon again, as they are too difficult to return. At least we can drop off smaller items ourselves, at drop-off points, at times that suit us!
Ordered an air fryer from them back in September and still waiting for it despite being given 3 delivery dates for this, been onto their customer services department ( don't know why they call it that as you get no service) and have had nothing more than lies, excuses and apologies, absolutely ridiculous service, do yourselves a favour people and use a reputable company for shopping
I'm very very pleased with the products, the speedy delivery and pretty much everything! I only have a beef with their Kindle books as they're more expensive than in the US or on amazon.com, but that can't be helped. It's an amazing company nonetheless.
Cured me of my eBay addiction. If there's s problem, it's soon sorted and email answers are prompt and done by human beings - unlike eBay. Goods on Amazon are often duplicated on eBay, but far more expensive. Love Amazon prime - next and same day delivery when you've forgotten those birthdays! And sellers rarely use Hermes couriers which is a big plus.
Don't value your custom for over 15 years!
Send out rude/inflammatory emails asking why your return products!
Well if they didn't send out faulty/poor quality items or not to brand standard, then customers would not have to return!
Maybe they should familiarise their selves with the Consumers rights act 2015, of their customers have a right to return!
Rude customer services!
Won't be my first go to point to shop going forward!
Lies lies lies!
Lies lies lies!
I like may others pay a yearly subscription fee for a "prime membership". I've lost count of how many times that "service" has failed me.
Today being the latest. Not only has my parcel not turned up, but I also received a message saying "failed delivery attempt", when no attempt was made whatsoever.
I know this as I waited in all day, and am now expected to waste another day tomorrow waiting around again.
Amazon charge my card 2 x £77.60 (£145.20) without permission and with no purchase made and with 90 mins on customer service, there was no sympathy, zero customer ‘support' and no willing to help give me MY money. So much stress and very challenging to speak to anyone. Am out £145.20…. Why do I need to fight this unnecessary action that I can evidence?
I was concerned about returning a certain item because of expensive postage fees for large parcels, so I contacted Amazon UK customer service directly and asked whether they would reimburse the postage costs for my return. Customer service told me, more than once, that they would reimburse me all of the postage fees up to a maximum of £150. With this in mind, I purchased postage through UPS which ultimately cost £177.30, due to Amazon providing me with the incorrect weight of the item. I sent Amazon the invoices providing proof of the postage costs, and now they are refusing to honour their promise to cover £150 of postage. They will not elaborate on why, and every time I contact customer service they simply end the chat when I bring it up. I am currently missing £150 because a multi-billion pound business doesn't want to give me the £150 they promised me. After this, I will be cancelling my account and will never use Amazon again, and my friends and family have agreed they will do the same. It's shocking to me that a company as famous and as profitable as Amazon has the gall to lie and treat its customers like this.
Amazon - What can I say - I love them. I must be one of their best customers, a week does not go by without an order from me.
I have ordered everything from cooking ingredients to a garden incinerator. You name it and they have got it. Quick and easy to use and the Customer Service is great - always helpful, never a problem.
Use them - who else!
The best customer service i've had.
I've been ordering on and off for a few years of Amazon and so far i am very happy with it. The one time i had an issue, after it was clear it was Amazon's fault, i got a full refund for my order.
There are deals to be had, sometimes the price plus shipping is cheaper than buying locally
Everybody knows that you can buy all sorts of stuff from here.
But how many are aware that there is a large section devoted to consumer's reviews of the products?
When thinking of buying some item, check amazon for reviews.
You may find it cheaper elsewhere - remember to factor in postage costs - but here on amazon you will get help on whether the item is worth buying in addition to specs and descriptions.
And amazon themselves have a great returns policy.
Amazon allows chinese sellers that flog terrible quality items. Once you've waited a month for an item to arrive, if you want to send it back, you'll have to pay for shipping to China. In my case the dodgy seller gave a fake UK address for a return. Amazon don't step in to take action. Instead the dodgy seller can get away with doing nothing. No refund, no action. Beware!
I love Amazon. I buy almost everything on there. Couple of clicks and I'm done - huge range of products, fast check out and next day delivery... what could I possibly criticize?
Packaging... there's tons of it. I shop a lot and every item comes in huge boxes with tons of extra packing. I know it needs to arrive in one piece but is a whole tree of paper really necessary?
Answer: It is very easy you just e-mail them and they get back to you within 2 days.
