Allrecipes was always my favorite go-to spot. Since the site changed many of my recipes that I had saved our lost. They're no longer organized. I can't add notes. I can't print a recipe. The printer icon is gone. It was a waste of time. I'm very disappointed looking elsewhere for my new go-to.

My Peeps are gone.
April 29, 2016

I used to log on to this site first thing in the morning and visit the blogs. These people were a family of sorts and now they are gone. They secretly want to be Pinterest.
On another topic, using Chrome I cannot expand a review, but I can on Firefox. Everybody having an issue with this, try another browser.

This used to be a great site but then all of my saved "favorites" disappeared and now I must search and try to remember my favorite recipes through an influx of ads. Don't bother with this site anymore, you will only be wasting your time.

Can't Sort by Ratings
October 27, 2018

They have changed this to make it smart-phone friendly or some stupid marketing concept and it's become useless to me. It used to be my go-to site but, now, forget it. I've got better things to do than mindlessly sort through good and bad recipes among thousands. I strongly suspect that as the website gained use, some marketing talked them into a scheme where actually having to navigate through all the crap increased ad "click throughs." Once again, the consumer loses!

Non responsive site
October 25, 2020

I have used AllRecipes for years - it's been my "go to" recipe site - but something happened about 2-3 months ago - when I try to access my profile it appears quite strangley as a top page (almost like what you would see with a pop-up) which is about 1/3 of the page - impossible to read or search. I used to be able to save recipes to a category - dinner, side dishes, summer dishes, etc. - that no longer works. I've tried all my devices think maybe that was the issue - unfortunately no. I've written customer support/technical support multiple occasions - no response. Really disappointed.

I used to love this site and it was my go to for finding recipes. It had a great search function for recipe ingredients, and it would also show you other similar recipes to what you were looking for. Now site is awful, slow, and not user friendly. In addition lots of ads which are annoying.

I echo many others who HATE the new site. It feels like being on the internet in the mid-90's. Slow, glitchy, horrible organization. This has always been my go-to ( I LOVED finding recipes based on ingredients), but, sadly, no longer. Off to better sites.

This used to be my go-to website but the updates have ruined it to the point where it is pretty much useless. You can't sort by rating or cooking method anymore. I used to visit it daily and now maybe look at it once a year if Food Network, Delish, or ANY of the other sites that actually function as intended are unavailable.

Have been trying to like the new site for a while. It does not sort and organize like before - everything moves super slow while tons of ads load and it does not even search my recipe box correctly. I think I will print out my favorites and move on to other sites for new ideas. It isn't worth the effort any longer. Surprised that they are not listening to the complaints and trying to improve on them.

Thousands of recipes.
January 20, 2014

Pros: 1) Unlimited amount of recipes in all food areas. 2) An infinite number of reviews/ratings by novices & experts alike. Cons: 1) Cannot comment on a recipe unless you rate it, possibly skewering the ratings. 2) Ratings include those who have altered the original recipe (& most have). 3) Many irritating reviewers that drastically change a recipe, but won't submit their own. 4) Unlike other recipe sites, there is no indicator if a recipe is in the member's recipe box.

AllRecipes does have a graph of each recipe's ratings. However, it would be nice if broke it down to percentages too.

I used to love allrecipes. It was like a small community of women/men sharing their family recipes. I went back recently and the site has changed- I'm surprised my recipe box is still intact. I had a very hard time finding it.
Pictures of the dishes are professionally shot- (they used to be amateurly-taken and didn't always look appetizing but were accurate).
The dishes seemed invented by the same few people- (presumably on the allrecipes team). Not by a community passing down their family recipes.
This site is a total money-grabbing sham. It's horrible how they've deviated from their grass roots and small community goals.

This is the best recipe website! I adore the 'ingredients' feature where you can put a list of ingredients that you have on hand and it will show you a list of recipes that incorporate those ingredients. I can't tell you how many times this feature has helped me out as I'm struggling to think of what to make for dinner without having to go to the store. I love to read the reviews - they are so helpful with adding things or taking away things to make the recipe better. This is a go-to site for any cook.

Have used allrecipes.com for years as both a paid and nonpaid member. I can't imagine how they think the new website is better. It is absolutely horrible. I've tried to use it many times. It's slow and cumbersome. Sad to lose such a great site.

Terrible!
October 3, 2016

Maybe I'm just not tech savvy but I find this website difficult and confusing. Ads keep popping which is annoying. Can't find printing option... what's up with that. The old website was sooo much better and user friendly. I will be deleting this app. Ugh,

Change isn't always good
November 19, 2015

I am horribly disappointed at the new format. I do not know why they think this jumbled, disorganized mess is better than the concise and easy to use format they had. I will not renew my subscription, I am having difficulty getting my recipes out of my recipe box. It is such a headache. If I hadn't given away my copies of my recipes (because I thought I could get them at any time from my allrecipes file) I would never open the site again. Mind you, I have been an avid user for many years...

There is no way to cancel the Pro membership service. There is no phone number for the website only an email. If you call the 1-800 number, you get some foreign country and they only know about the magazine. I paid for the Pro upgrade renewal but not getting the added benefits. As I try to find where my card information is located (it too is well hidden) - there is no way to cancel the automatic renewal. BEWARE

I used to love allrecipes.com and allrecipes.co.uk. I had quite a few "go to" recipes which I found by searching by star rating. Suddenly the site is a hotchpotch of recipes. There may be several hundreds or in some cases, thousands recipes for a particular dish, e.g. apple pie, lasagne/lasagna or brownies but they are completely jumbled up with one star recipes, four star recipes and some new recipes that have not even been rated. I just don't have the time to search through hundreds of recipes to find my favourites. Sadly I didn't book mark or copy my favourite allrecipes recipes. Trying to filter by ingredients doesn't work when your go to recipe was failry standard. Hundreds upon hundreds are returned in the search. Life is too short to use the site. My friends say exactly the same thing.

This is one of the best recipe sites! I've been a member of Allrecipes.com since 2008 and have tried over 150 recipes from there! You can rate and review the recipes you've tried and even post a photo for other members too see! A really fun site!

This is by far the best recipe website I have found. If you click on the "ingredients" section, you can choose up to four food items that you have on hand. This brings up all the recipes in the database with those four ingredients. This is so helpful with the common problem "what do I cook for supper tonight?". I find it helpful to read the viewers comments before I try any new recipe. It gives me great ideas! I rate and save all my recipes to my recipe box.
